Days of Future Past The perfect background for X4?

I got a thinking, there was always talk of X4 floating around in the background and i think we will see this some day. But i got thinking about X-Men Origins: Wolverine and First Class movies.

You had a complete story with X-Men 1 to 3 it was its own trilogy however most avenues were expanded so much having an X4 would require the mutants to be in a much bigger enviroment.

However with these two spin off films we have that oppertunity to revisit X4. As for X1to3 - you know about The X-Men, The Brotherhood, There war with the normal. But Wolverine movie explored a different aspect of mutants that wasnt seen before, hunters for hire and moral issues... then we have this First Class Movie

First Class is giving us our movie universe origins - although it wont 100% fit into the universe - there trying hard enough to make it fit.

So it got me thinking about what you would do with X4.

Look at the facts

You were introduced to a young Gambit in the wolverine movie, If Storm is in X4 then techically Gambit would be around her age or older. (They would have to recast the actor for the role) We also now have the hellfireclub thanks to first class and well that opens the doors to Mr.Sinister - or return of White Queen. the two spin offs has given us a more expanded universe that we could now evolve X-Men 4 to what we want it to be.

Essentially

Rogue - played by Anna Paquin - look at the actress now in TruBlood she has become quiet an actress - but whats more - shes starting to act and look more like the Older Rogue we know from the comics and dare i say Cartoon from the 90's.

Storm - Played by Halle Berry - could possibly return - she has wanted to steal the spot light from this movie ever since x3 and lets face it catwoman wasnt great. So she would be on board

Gambit - would need to be recast but would be awsome

Beast - potentially kesley grammer could reprise his role - Or - we could progress beast evolution so his cat like look in recent comics leads to a new actor being chosen for the role.

Cyclops - isnt exactly known as dead - i mean when Jean was in Phoenix mode she could of probably hid Cyclops somewhere and blocked his brainwaves from xavier so he couldnt be found.

Rougue got cured though, and i got the feelng based of X3 that Beast joined the X-men for one last hurrah.

Personaly id like to it like this.

Wolverine-I know people are gonna ***** and i admit this is contigent on Jackman doing a great job in the new Wolverine movie, but i just think the character is to appealing and so much potential for awsome scenes that if you have an oppurtunity to have him in the film, you can't pass up.Obviously learn from X3 and not have him be the main focus.


Gambit-Id include him in a way that Wolverine was introduced to us in X1, I still can't believe he never was included in any of the 3 x-men films.

Jubilee-I d like to see different woman in the film this time, as opposed to the usual Storm,Jean Grey line up.Plus she has cool powers IMO especially for the big screen.

Colosuss-Replace Daniel Cudmore with A REAL ACTOR, so he actually has more than just one line of dialogue. Not to mention lets see him do some damge this time as opposed to just tossin Wolverine around.

Angel-He was totally wasted in X3, infact next to Cyclops i would say this character got the biggest shaft

Id include one more female x-men member not sure who though.

Yes, and I cant wait to see an 80 year old Emma get it on with Cyclops.

If they do an X4 I'd be surprised if it could follow the continuity in the filmverse.

you look at the time line to liner - think of it this way, Cyclops was supposed be around 35 in X1, Emma Frost could be portrayed in her early twenties for argument sake we will say she is 21 in X-Men First Class - So that movie set in the 60's 40 years past she would be in the 50's around the time of x1 - by time you set x-men 4, you would have probably a 60 year old White Queen next to a late 40's Cyclops - its not that big a difference but it would just be creepy more than anything else

so the possibilities for X4 are endless.

Well this is it, with just x1 to x3 the universe wasnt expanded enough but with first class and wolverine movies that will give you a bigger understanding of the world which means x4 is yes endless possibilities

We need quality for X4, and a darker tone, so I hope Singer makes the best x-men movie of the whole franchise.

If they can reassemble the cast, I say just do Singer's vision of X3. I think FC is basically ignoring the continuity of both TLS and XMO, so why not?

Besides, they haven't already used the title X3!

Maybe they can introduce Fabian Cortez or Eric The Red and make Professor X Magneto and Emma Frost All young again and that way we could have Fassebender Jones and Mcavoy Reprise their roles...but aside from that i would like to see a complete new lineup of X-men more like Icemman Colossus Shadowcat Rogue Gambit Storm Beast Jubilee and I would love to see Sinister and his Mauraders as the new villains like the Brotherhood was to the first three X-men

X men 1 2 and 3 were already as dark and mature as the Dark Knight
The Dark Knight was not the first dark and mature pg 13 comic book movie.The x men movies has been doing that years before the Dark Knight came along

actually it's pretty simple... X3 showed magnetos powers slowly returning at the end.... So the cure was not permanent like they thought. So Magneto, Rogue, Mystique, all get their powers back in time. That sets up Mystique finally being independent of Erik, and Rogue possibly screwing up... (imagine her touching someone with powers, when it kicks back on... the person screams, rogue screams... she can't let go), the person dies, or goes into a coma... and rogue has those thoughts, and maybe a new power set stuck in her).

Xavier is placed in his twins body as shown at the end... so he returns

While Jean probably shouldn't be in the film... I'd have Havok (father or brother depending on FC) come to the X-mansion in search for Scott... they inform him of his passing but he refuses to believe it due to a message he received. We later find out that Phoenix didn't kill scott... but placed him in her telekinetic cocoon at alkalai lake, taking her place there. We find out much later that the villain of the film (Sinister) now has scott, and is using DNA from the mummified remains of the worlds first mutant (En Sabah Nur) to create 4 super mutants. The project is called "apocalypse" and the 4 are the horsemen.

This will be long, so here we go:

X4 van follow the events for The Last Stand, with the idea of the Leech powers are limited, the powers of the mutants just stoped if they come close to him.Imagine a situation when the powers of every mutant who take The Cure is coming back, and a crescendo mutant paranoia is back.In a new scnario, we have a attempt to bring the harmony back, as magneto transforming Genosha to a free-place to mutants live, and have any conspirations about he doing or not a army to got a political power by the force, forcing the governament to bring back the Sentinels program (based on the fact that I expect them to appear in FC sequels). In other side, we have Chales back in twin brother's body, and Cyclops alive (because,at least for me, is ambiguous and the fact he is alive or dead in TLS), without memory of your past and with your powers mentally blocked by Jean and lost walking in Canada, when he found by Wolverine (considering the alternative ending is not used in TLS). I wanna see Mystique as a double-spy for governament/Magneto, Nightcrawler back as a Priest, Rogue reaction with your powers return, Storm with new studants, and epic battle scenes with a tense political plot!

I have a similar idea, only I would send Kitty back to First Class era (that way the new cast could be utilized once more). You can still have the Sentinel situation arising from the death of Senator Kelly (cured Mystique in X3 = Senator Kelly just vanishes), and the X-Men know that they must stop Magneto from building the make-a-mutant machine which kills Kelly to undo future events. As a result, Jean's transformation into Phoenix is at least delayed (as it was heavily implied that her exposure to Magneto's machine caused it), thus sparing Scott and Charles. Now the original trilogy still happened, but you can start over with McAvoy and Fassbender. Ties both continuities together (yes, much like Star Trek, only this is lifting directly from a classic comic storyline).
