Had the Olympic torch go through town today.... and i realised that most people don't give a **** about a guy in a wheelchair trying to get a photo when the chips are down :cmad:

I have my eye on you

Advance party

It's the Rozzers!

Also had the infuriating event of, having set up my camera for the light amounts in the two hours i waited. just as the torch runner past me.... the sun came out and ****ed up my shots...

if i'd had better luck yesterday, then i'd definitely be checking my photos out to see if i have any that'll fit...

Thanks CC! I just had my hand on the shutter button and kept changing my settings to see which shot would take nicely that night. One of my friends wants to make an illuminated poster out of one of my images, which I thought was pretty flattering. Here's another one from that same night:

Without further ado, these are just a few shots that I took. We ended up shoot at night due to the whole photoshoot was a train wreck due to other complications and lost sunlight. She wanted to do a few, so we did despite they are not what I was looking forward too. =/ Getting bite alive. BTW, these are quick edits and I can not stress enough this was a total wreck. I would have wanted another light, but I didn't have another able body to do this.

Have you tried putting an ad out in the paper? I'm sure you can find some people who would volunteer their time to do photo shoots. These shots look difficult to do at night. When I was at Lake Havasu last summer, I had an idea to get girls to come on my shots, but since I was still learning the ropes of my camera I didn't try this idea...but I'm SURE it would have worked. Just have a sign that says, "Free photoshoot, free beer" You will get girls and guys coming over for a few shots, they might even help with your lighting... Just sayin, lol.

thalidomide,

Love the last one!

Either way, here is my fireworks. Pretty crappie this year and I was in a horrible spot as a lot of light pollution.

All in all, I think your shots turned out great. Light pollution doesn't bother me at all..it's those darn smoke streaks after a firework that ruin other firework shots.

Dr Lee It must be hard to take a photo with all those people around. Nice work :)

Midnyte_Sun Wow, thank you I really appreciate your comment :)

Tell me about it, there i was sat in my chair with my camera out for two hours before the runner arrived.... and when he did, this sweet looking little old lady decided the best place to stand was between the guy and me..... and then kept on moving in front of me every time i moved...

Nearly 'accidentally' clipped her with my chair....

I hate that ****. Last week I had a damn good shot lined up and someone just steps in front of me. I always wait for someone to take a photo or walk around the back of them.

I took this last week. Sun was flowing down nicely, and suddenly the sun ****s off ruining the image :(

Lunar_Wolf That's what I'm talking about! Even though the sun ruined your photo you still managed to capture the essence of the picture. :)

Dr Lee We have a lot of festivals here in the Philippines and I'm planning to attend to one of those festivals this coming year. I hope I can manage to take photos because it's really hard to find a nice spot to take pictures with all the people dancing in the streets.

I'm gonna try something in post to make it pop out a bit more.
We've had no summer so far. I think maybe four days of sun, haha.

Fantastic pictures the last few pages :woot:

Heya guys!

Nice work everyone! Sorry I've been away these last week or so since I had training for a promotion. Passed my test today, and now waiting to see what they offer, or what the home office says. =) Everything else will be in the back burner, and turning into a hobby as of this point.

Here is a few that I did yesterday, both shot in reflective mode, and the other shot bare to the right at some random low power.
