So, I just upgraded to an Olympus E420 and have been learning the ropes on it. Some of the recent shots I took on Sunday...

Does anyone have any advice on shooting in low light conditions? Especially concerts? It took me a while to be able to get clear shots. I tried not to use the flash, it made the photos look pretty crap. 'Sides, I only have the built in flash.

I had a family reunion at Hawaii a few weeks ago. I shot more film in that week than I've ever done in a year. But it takes too long to upload it all into the Net. So here are two images I took at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Fujifilm makes great 400 ISO film. Shot with a Nikon F100 + MB-15.

haven't posted here in ages, real life getting in the way though that leaves time to get new photos, the section is quite random though

I have got to try shooting panoramic photos in the future. I just hope I can find a shop that will let me rent a panoramic head for the tripod.

Heya,

Here is my latest shot, well. I just bought myself a new Canon Rebel XS. I've been outta of photography for about 10 years, but my mom taught me back in the day how to run a darkroom. I finally broke down, and first night out on the town produced this:

55-250MM IS Lens
ISO: 1600
Shutter: 1/30
F: 5.6

did you get a good deal on the Canon? i want a new DSLR badly

CC it would depend on what you're after if it's seriously photography i would look a model or two up than the 1000d(rebel xs) it's a great beginners camera but there is better on the market, look into the 450d or the 500d

yeah ive wanted to take photography for the longest time but I never can afford a good DSLR or think its worth it.

CC & Kane,

Reviews: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-XS-Digital-18-55mm-Black/dp/B001CBKJGG/ref=cm_cmu_pg__header

Bought it: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?Item=N82E16830120278

While I do agree, it's not the best camera out there, and dubbed as "Beginners" camera, but it's still a serious piece of work if you love to take pictures, and don't want to pay a arm and leg. That was my catch, I love photography, as I started, but I don't wanna pay 1K+ when it's my not my career.

I have a few more pictures, but I want their approval before I put them up for it's only right that I ask them. When I do, I'll put them up here to see what ya guys think.

Gang,

All right, while I know some of these aren't the best, typically the night ones due that I don't have a tripod and I was shooting while holding. Neither-less, I still thought it was interesting for trial and error run on the filters at night.

New models come and go but they're getting better each time.

But one day, I plan to buy Nikon's F6 film SLR. Much like my F3 and maybe my F100, it will last long after I'm gone and still do what it was built to do.

I don't have one of these super slick cameras, but thought I'd share a few random shots from my recent Eurotrip anyway:

Henchy, were you using the Hipstamatic app on the iPhone? It's a fun little tool.

Some recents

I've been doing a lot of editing on www.picnik.com. It's a great easy tool, especially for those of us who can't afford PS.

Tee hee, you found me out, Wats! I love that app. Soooo much!

I love it too! Another good one for the iPhone is Plastic Bullet and Camera+ (which is pricier, unless you've jailbroken your phone in which case it doesn't matter anyways).

I haven't heard of Plastic Bullet! Maybe I'll pick up Camera+ at a later date, but I loooooove my iPhone. :awesome:
