I agree. I agree. Even if you use guide numbers, if your outside in really, really harsh sun (IE, NM) it's out the window. So I always have to tell the people I'm shooting I have to get take a few snaps to get in the ball park and use EV and adjust from there. I hate doing that, but gotta do what you gotta do until I afford a light meter, IMO.
If ya got the cash, doesn't Pocket Wizards offer TTL for Nikon too? I'm okay with TTL on Camera (Events), but it still looks flat to me overall even after compensation. But I think Nikon's version is better than Canons, tho. Despite I've been bouncing a bit, which helps out.
