We can't have the symbiote making spider-man go faster and fancier, because it will only weaken the climax of the movie if spider-man's fighting abilities are now less fancy than before. Once you get used to a certain level of fanciness it's hard to go back.

I suggest an increase in strength although it's hard to imagine how to show that without it being ridiculous. I mean he already held up a ferry full of children with one arm. That's pretty strong. Him lifting up a continent the way superman did in Supes Returns is kind of unrealistic even for SuperMan, let alone Spider-Man.

I don't really want his powers to change much. Just effect him mentally, and make him more brutal. Make him bullet proof with it on though of course.

nah, a little bit too much for me. Having it form the suit on command like marvel vs. capcom style is enough for me, but I don't think even that's going to happen...

I would like to see everything that was shown in the 90's spider-man the animated series

A huge increase on all of spidey's powers

(1) Spider- Strength

(2) Spider-reflexes and agility

(3) Spider-sense

(4) His webbing to better than the original webbing

(5) Wallcrawling

(6) Webslinging

I also would mind seeing The Symboite suit using it's tentacles

agreed, all that i think will be added into the movie, peters refelexes and agility we saw in the trailer on the side of the building when he was doing flips was defenitley increased agility.

spideys spider strength and reflexes seem to have increased when spidey fought sandman in the trailer at the subaway. spidey had won that battle. his reflexes, spider sense, and spider strength to me will be very spider-man the animated series like and especially very comic book like.

I think it would be cool and legend if they had some scenes where Spidey messes up something because of his new powers. Like think of the cartoon and when he first got the suit he wasn't used to it and flew over the building he meant to land on or something along the lines like somethings falling and he not being used to his new strength doesn't just web it to grab but pulls it to hard and launches it like a missile.

Or punches someone in the face to knock them out but punches right through their skull...ok maybe that's a lil' R rated material but, just some little tidbits showing him getting acclimated to the suit. The End. Cheers!!

Man I just realized that kind of stuff that is shown in those screen caps wont have as much of an impact becuase they really haven't established in the movies Peter's liberal tendencies when it comes to those type of issues. I know we can debate all day whether pete's a liberal or a conservative, but that's not my intent.

When it comes to handling crime, aside from governmental socialism reforms, peter is kind of a liberal. It's about protecting people from crime while still having compassion and sympathy for the criminal. When the symbiote takes over he's more of a guy acting on angry animalistic violent impulses, ready to kill the person. Regular spider-man would risk his life to save even a murderer, but the symbiote spider would want to take revenge.

When we see the symbiote taking over, non comic fans wont be impacted as much, becuase they haven't been shown that spider-man is the complete opposite of that.

sound vibrations is a given. i hope they give that a little during the movie where he's weakened by it a little here and there but not enough to strip the symbiote off him, until the church and the bell which just strips it off of him.

speaking of the church bells, i am very happy they whent with the comics with that. it really brings out the comic book feel. sound vibrations might be used twice. in the script summary it said that the symbiote flows onto peter but hits the beams to make the symbiote come off. it said something like that.

i hope they show its weakness, this way the average viewer is like, "hmmm, wonder what that could be about" then in the church scene they know whats going on. otherwise during that scene they would be, "ok, why's that coming off now? whats the point?" i know us spidey fans know whats up but not everyone will, it needs to be shown to set the way for all.

true, i just thought of something. maybe between the second fight between symbiote peter and harry in the mansion maybe harry will hit something with the sword because peter dodged it and the thing he hit made vibration or maybe harry has a vibration weapon. there could also be a fire in the goblin room during the fight to scare the symbiote a little.
