What if Spider-man creates the Symbiote himself?

Dude remember why they made spidey shoot webs from his wrist in stead of making the webshooters himself. And that should tell you why your idea would never work.

Believability? I know. But that's a little moot.

My idea is stupid and such. However, it may explain why the costume is only black and not a different costume. I like the idea of venom actually being spidey's venom, unfortunately that may mean we don't get the venom from the comics but something else... maybe a mutated topher beast. It could have some plausibility in the movie-version of spidey. The deal is how does venom come to be and how does spiderman get it, and we all want to know. This would answer both sort-of. Venom will be darth vader inside Peterkin Parkwalker and over spider-man three we'll see him slowly engulfed into his dark side, but MJ pulls him out of it and he discharges the venom.

I mean. Who on this board expected spidey to have Mood-powers in spidey 2?

Along with the parallels to the superman movies, I really think there may be some real ground for this theory to stand on. grrr

WHAT IF THERE IS NO SYMBIOTE! ...........(it's only in my dream i think...)

I think there's a symbiote. It's just might not be fully created in a lab, but somehow is turded out by spider-man as a side-effect of his unnatural genetic mutation. Someone could make spidey sick, give him a disease, a virus, something...

Well I'm just throwing this idea out there.

If this does happen in the movie though, I'll bump this and lmao at all of you who think it won't... just like how all the venom doubters are eating their favorite brand of crow mixed with humble pie and served in their own hats right now.

I dont think we'll have to worry about that.

No offense, but I'm not feeling the idea. Somehow, Spider-Man being practically 100% "responsible" for Venom takes away a lot of his impact and motivation.

Venom works because it's the collision of two characters who were "hurt" by Parker/Spidey, the symbiote moreso than Brock. Their paranoia leads to their psychosis and their physical appearance (a monstrous Spider-Man parody).

If you turn Brock into the victim of an STD (Spidey Transmitted Disease! *rimshot*), it seems forcefully ironic. The irony that Spider-Man's attempt at "freeing" himself from the symbiote would create an enemy that causes him endless grief is pretty slick. Somehow, S-M chomping down on Brock like a Spider-Zombie or being a mutation of his own powers just reeks of The Other...

And we sure as hell don't want that, do we?

Brock is going to figure out how spidey came to be, and duplicate the process. He'll let himself get bitten by a/the spider. Maybe he'll even bust into Parker's digs and steal a suit and just dye it black.

I know that sounds a bit anti-climatic but who knows? Up until this point the films have been about as realistic as one could expect them to be. Now we're getting a guy made of sand and a living puddle of oil taking over Peter? It's getting too X-Files-ish for me.

Damn they closed the nonsense thread so when I clicked post, my whole rant got deleted.

Basically what I said was that this is the board for the discussion of SM3. ALL DISCUSSION. There's no rule that 'only teh spoilerz' can be discussed. I think it's for everything related to sm3 + spoilers. So this topic is in no way out of bounds... ok, maybe a little out of bounds but it's still ok.

I guess that's why it wasn't locked.

ragdus, that's sort-of what I'm thinking too. Spidey nor brock might be wearing a symbiote. Maybe it's all mental like the goblin and somehow brock recieves spider-man's venom and becomes Venom at the end of the movie.

Having a crappy day is no excuse for germinating an evil persona of yourself and then vomiting him out to wreak havoc on the entire city.

That's why we have therapists and alcohol to deal with our problems.

That sure beats -

Random speculation: check.
Silly idea: check.
Shameless sychophantism: check.
"Spoilers" that are in no way actual spoilers, or even relevant: check.

:D True, but anyone who can work vampires into a Venom theory deserves some sort of accolade.

Oh yeah, that thread. I forgot about it.

But I'm still glad my idea got some view instead of it just being stuck in my head forever.

I just had an idea today while scanning through the manips thread. There are lots of manips in there of venom that show him wearing the same black suit as spidey and this started me thinking back to superman 3. Remember how Superman turned to evil and as he did more bad stuff his suit got darker?

We know Raimi's been homaging and even joking about superman in the last two films:

-The shirt rip. :supes:

-"You're not superman, you know."

-Him losing his powers and becoming normal again in the second movie.

What if we see something similar to superman 3 in that Spidey becomes corrupted by his own powers. Maybe someone creates a device or whatever that triggers it like red kryptonite does for supes. Then he loses his old personality, starts dating gwen stacy and doing bad stuff like setting buildings on fire and not saving anybody from them this time. And everyone starts hating spider-man like Goblin said they would.

This is a different spidey who loses his powers if he's really sad. So all I'm saying is maybe he could have another new power, a new power that creates this second personality and what if he gives topher's character a vampire bite or some sort of blood transfusion and that's how topher becomes his evil self... no that's a bad idea. What if spidey vomits out some black ooze from within him instead? Ok I'm done, what do you think?

HELL NO!

heres how they should do it

open the movie with a voice over...

and aftter Mary Jane I joined other heroes to partake in this great war...

open camera

Petes got a new ffin suit!

I can see Peter Parker creating the symbiote himself in a lab, as just a better costume for himself. Now that he's with MJ, and she's the actress pulling in more money, Pete will have time and money to put into the suit/symbiote. Or maybe with Conners in the lab...but that brings up the point that Conners would know about the symbiote then. Somehow Pete creating it in that way could be cool.

It could also show the intelligence factor that was missed by using organics instead of mech web shooters...

Sorry dude, not digging your idea. I think an interesting idea for the symbiote would be for it to be an advanced military technology used for covert missions, as it could change one's appearance at the command of one's thought. However, due to the fact that it seems to have a mind of its own the project is abandonned by the military and somehow the prototype ends up on Spider-Man.
Just a thought.

I think that might eliminate its need to bond with a host though. if it's Miliatary tech like a nano tech thing, then I think it'll just swirl around doing stuff all day on its own without Brock to help it. My epic idea is that it's like that thing that got into Ash in evil dead 3 and then separated from ash, kicked ashes ash all over that little windmill house, and ran off to become evil ash. It tries taking full control of spidey but he denies it that and finds a way to get it out of him; and since it can't survive without a host, it finds brock and gives him spidey's organic web powers and becomes an evil spider-man with mutant fangs and sharp teeth. That'll be awesome. Topher will be like a ware-spider-man.
