I just had an idea today while scanning through the manips thread. There are lots of manips in there of venom that show him wearing the same black suit as spidey and this started me thinking back to superman 3. Remember how Superman turned to evil and as he did more bad stuff his suit got darker?

We know Raimi's been homaging and even joking about superman in the last two films:

-The shirt rip. :supes:

-"You're not superman, you know."

-Him losing his powers and becoming normal again in the second movie.

What if we see something similar to superman 3 in that Spidey becomes corrupted by his own powers. Maybe someone creates a device or whatever that triggers it like red kryptonite does for supes. Then he loses his old personality, starts dating gwen stacy and doing bad stuff like setting buildings on fire and not saving anybody from them this time. And everyone starts hating spider-man like Goblin said they would.

This is a different spidey who loses his powers if he's really sad. So all I'm saying is maybe he could have another new power, a new power that creates this second personality and what if he gives topher's character a vampire bite or some sort of blood transfusion and that's how topher becomes his evil self... no that's a bad idea. What if spidey vomits out some black ooze from within him instead? Ok I'm done, what do you think?

i thought this thread would be about peter actually being a scientist and making the symbiote himself somehow in a lab...that i could handle more than what you suggested...but if that's what they end up doing, i'll still see the movie and still like it i'm sure...buit i do think wearing the symbiote will make him think bad thoughts and go after the wrong girls and treat bad guys in a meaner way than usual

I bet Doc conners will be the one "making" the symbiot. There not going the outer space route and conners is already in the movies timeline so no new character to establish. It makes to much sense not to do it.

I would go outer space route, but no your idea is crap

I wood too but not many think aliens would fit into spider-man movies so why not follow superman's story a little?

I don't think it's all crap...
We saw last time that spidey's powers are glitching so this would be a natural continuation of that. Spiders do create venom...

Spidey Kryptonite?

This idea should be burned by Hell's fire..and Hell's fire alone.:mad:

ok. But i'm using some reason here that I think is good and that seems to be what Raimi's using too. PLUS:

* The suit is just his normal one but darker. This leads me to believe it literally is just his normal one but darker, similar to superman's in superman 3.

* Evil dead 3. Ash vs Evil Ash. Maybe spidey has a similar problem... and Brock of course recieves the evil part of spider-man later because both hate the good spider-man and the Spidey's evil can't survive on its own...

I like this.

So how would Brock get this new version of Venom. Spidey puking it up or biting Brock is just rediculous. The idea itself is not at all bad but its such a stretch from the original Venom that I think no one would like it.

I hope they dont do the superman thing ... I dont like it... Its just not a good idea.

yeah it's stupid.

But I still like the idea.:mad:

Venom = spidey discharge.

Maybe a stupid idea... but where do you fit an asteroid jamming into the earth in an already jam packed movie... the Jameson mission will not happen... my guess is that Connoers already has it in his lab (maybe and asteroid reference as far as origins) and has Gwen and Peter help him examine it... or atleast Peter

That's signature-approved right there:D

Asteroids = Things from space

Things from space include meteors

Meteors = Meteor Showers

Meteor Showers = Smallville

Smallville = Superman

Superman = Superman movies

Superman movies = .... ;)

I don't like that idea.

A while ago I had an idea where perhpas spider-man got sick for a while, and he like shedded or sweat the symbiote out of himself, but I didn't even like that idea that I had either.

I think they might go with both the space and lab. ideas together. I always thought of the black suit as a Bacteria or a Virus. We call it a suit but technically it's just an organism that picks a compatible host and feeds off it. While taking over it, it grants the host new abilitys or added abilitys. Like when Eddie is Venom, he could websling because the organism has memory and it learned the technique from Peter and now can recreate the act.

I would like it if they had it that the alien needed a host to grow and reproduce. Not that it's just a super-powered organism. But this would explain how offspring are made like Carnage. Maybe they will go this way. I don't know.

Since Day 1 I Said: Maybe they will go through the route of the government gets a sample of Spideys blood and tries to use it to create another "Spiderman". ( I mean come one... In real life if a guy could web-sling, the men in black would be there in ten minutes trying at all cost 24/7 to catch him). But I think this route has to many holes in it like why or how would Spidey get a suit on him that was made from him. Kinda fishy. Cheers!

Umm, here's an idea. Maybe he'll find the symbiote in a Kinder Surprise! (sheesh)

Weyseed, that's an awesome idea. So you're saying like, Peter kind of does something and becomes darker and darker, possibly just imagining Venom and Brock? Like Topher is in his head? That's awesome. I had a similar idea about Gwen Stacey's apperance in the films. That would definately be cool but I guess some people would see it as cliche or something...

I think they should go with either of the 2 origins. Meteorite or created in a lab by Peter and Eddie's parents. If they do go with the lab experiment idea i bet it would be another OSCORP accident.

Jameson could already be in space at the start of the movie and crash in the first 10 minutes. We can figure it out by news coverage on TV of the ship out of control or dialogue between some characters. That can all easily be fit into the movie.

Dude remember why they made spidey shoot webs from his wrist in stead of making the webshooters himself. And that should tell you why your idea would never work.

Which is why we call it a symbiote.:o

I do like the idea of Spidey vomiting up the symbiote, but only if its when he tries to get rid of it.
