Looking at the politics in this(since this is after all a Obama thread) I was reading all to GOP likely president contenders and it is sad that most looked to overlook Obama's part in it while if it had failed he would have been the first one they blamed.

This is a huge plus for him in his re-election push. I can see his approval ratings shooting up. Thoughts?

Zipper better get on this...I want this as a DLC for SOCOM 4

Obama's wife, last night, she pretty much had to, ya know...you know what I'm saying.

It's truly remarkable what Americans can accomplish when the Playstation Network is down.
:lmao:

They decided to go out and do it for real. I wonder if they unlocked any trophies/achievements yet.

I am what I am. I deal in absolutes - black and white. No greys. You seem to follow facts rather than analogies. I used an analogy, you are justifying what had happened, with what had happened. Facts justifying itself. The problem is that your ideology and mine are different on a very critical and precise level.

To me:
Soldiers killing civilians = Bad.
Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda killing civilians = Bad.

Both are homicides. Both take lives. Both do it to further their agenda. I hate killings, whether they are done in the name of God, or by order of some President sitting on his fat couch. I will never justify killing women and children just because I am trying to catch bad guys. If someone is trying to kill you, shoot back, and be done with it and them. Do not tell me that soldiers emptying rounds in residential areas "by accident" and killing minors is in any way justified. Matt, seriously.

Is there only one level of bad though? Or is this purely based on the tansitive property?

Does motive not matter?

Also nobody ever said that the rounds were being fired "by accident" but the civilians are not the targets, do you not understand that at all?

Meanwhile highjacking a plane and aiming it squarely at a building filled with civilians for the sole sake of killing those civillians is another matter.

Do you not see how that those are two very different actions?

every member of the military can get 'cookies' anytime they want

i cant believe i have been watching CNN since 2300 lastnight

I bet Obama can ask for "cookies" pretty much any time he wants now.

From Laura Bush even. He can always go, "Baby, I'm here to finish up something else George started." Boom chick-a-wow-wow.

So why was he buried at sea without any photographs of his body?

So why was he buried at sea without any photographs of his body?

They have photos, they're just not releasing them yet.

And turning Osama into fish food was the most prudent thing. If they buried him or disposed of his remains anywhere on land, even secretly, it would become a new focus for islamofacists, either as a shrine of sorts or a battleground.

the administration is hitting all the right points with this
They dont want to upset the muslim/islamic community(though Al Jazeera never had an issue showing americans getting killed). They gave him a muslim/traditional burial and wont release the pics due to sensibilities...

My only concern is some accusing Obama of making up bin Laden's death to boost his approval ratings.
