Well, at least we know Sarah Palin is the way to go if Red Dawn ever comes true. :hehe:

Me, too. If they wait too much longer, Palin might be in jail before Biden even gets a chance to let her make herself look like an idiot.

How embarassing would that be?

Why would she be in jail?

Why would she be in jail?

It looks more and more like she may go down for this whole trooper thing... that is when they stop stonewalling the investigation.

Huh? Its THAT serious?

Has anyone heard anything more about the details of the Vice Presidential debate? The details were supposed to be disclosed once both parties candidates had been announced, but I have yet to see anything.

Yes, of course the details are out. Biden is going to have to sit in a corner with a dunce cap and muzzle as the audience goes "awwwww" to Palin's youngest daughter adjusting Trig's hair as Palin waves to everyone.

So that's a no.

THE DETAILS OF THE VP DEBATE HAVE BEEN RELEASED!

As you already know, Gwen Ifill will be the moderator.

Format: Similar to the first presidential debate, this will be divided up into eight 10 minute segments. The first five minutes will include a two minute response from each candidate about a specific issue, and the last five minutes will be an open discussion where the candidates can converse.

Subject: Domestic and Foreign Policy

Ooooh...Biden will get to address Palin directly at the debates? This should be interesting.

TEN DAYS until the first debate!

What channel is this on, I can't afford Cable, and my TV has a hanger as an antenna--so I can't get channels 2 through 5?

Damn I hate being poor. :(

I'm not convinced that he can beat her without coming off looking mean. What I'm afraid of more than that is that he'll come off as condescending.

As far as I know, the debate is on CNN.

cannot wait for this!! Its about time this election started to get going!

I think he's likely going to do his best to make himself sound informed and let her wither under her own inexperience. We already know that the McCain Campaign is going to just train Palin in McCain's talking points for the debates, so if Joe capitalizes on the two minute period where the candidates can interact and ask each other questions and just asks her to elaborate on a policy in any depth or present her with "What will you do if x, y or z happens"? she'll just make herself look uninformed and inexperienced.

I think Palin will try to play the sympathy card against the "big meanie" Biden. She knows that she can't win, but she will try to be as likeable as possible and make people feel bad for her.

TWO DAYS until the first debate!

It's actually to Obama's advantage to delay the debates. He's pummeling McCain with the economy issue and the polls reflect that. If he doesn't have to deal with a McCain debate he can continue to do that even more.

"John McCain's so confused and overwhelmed by the financial crisis, he asked to be excused from the debates so he can continue working on trying to understand what's going on!"

:D

This is such a stupid move. Is Congress even going to be in session on Friday? Is Congress even going to pass this bailout plan by then?

Not to mention, I thought the debates were pretty much set in stone. I highly doubt McCain is going to get his way with this.
