The only thing which made me confused was opinion of MiraJeff. He (or she) says that all these mind games with audience are pointless in the movie.
But how can he (or she) say this, if mind games are put in movies, because they always make sense in storylines.
The twist are necessary to this movie, they are the Prestige, when you see the magic trick completed. To say anymore about the plot or its twists and turns would be to ruin the fun, and make no mistake, The Prestige is a fun movie. It is utterly engaging and sophisticated throughout, it just doesn't add up to all that much in the end. Or perhaps it adds up to too much. I can’t make up my mind, but either way, it feels overheated.
Did you change the crystal ball? The other one wasn't working that well.Cinemaman said:I have feeling The Prestige will make $6m opening day with $17m opening weekend![]()

The Prestige is ceaselessly entertaining but ultimately pointless because of the head games it plays with its audience
