Loved it, easy to follow- for me at least, but the only that REALLY got to me....

What the heck is up with Angrier being in the tank again at the ending?
Another clone of himself. They all feel the same and have the same memories, so each one is basically Angier killing himself over and over.

I just got back from the Prestige. I loved every minute of it and the acting was top notch, the story was amazing, and I loved the chemistry between Bale and Jackman.

They both seemed to feed off each other very well, especially during the final scene with Alfred waiting for his execution.

All in all I won't lie when I say I was confused by the ending at first. But now I think I understand it a lot better.

Which magic trick/accident was your favorite? I have to say
the bullet trick going wrong caught me off guard.

some high schoolers in my theatre were just astoundingly confused at the end... I thought it was pretty clear.

and I loved every minute of the movie. christopher nolan is on my short list of directors that should be allowed to make movies.

Just got back. Best movie this year. Easily.

10/10.

The Departed is the best of the year. But, this is top 5 for sure.

I've just returned from seeing it, mind****ingly beautiful! Nolan had me guessing left and right, the bastard. A work of magic (pun intended) 10/10

Most definetely better than The Departed IMO!
Or maybe I'm just bias for Nolan films and Christian ****ing Bale!

I have a quick question for everyone who's seen the film...

When did you figure out there were two Bordens? I did pretty early on when Fallon visited Alfred at the prison, in which I saw Bale's eyes and immediately made the connection. I wasn't sure how obvious the reveal at the end was supposed to be.

I just got back from it. AWESOME film. Made my ass numb but well worth it. I kind of figured it out for the most part towards the end got a few things wrong but it was cool thinking back about all that had happened knowing the secrets.

I guess the bad thing was that the theatre I saw it in was kind of far from packed. But then again I hardly have ever been in a packed theatre in this area.

wtf? 18 pages? effin batman fans. :csad:

but yes, this movie is amazing. so good job.

I loved it. I really liked how Caine's words in the beginning come together at the end.
It was a little disturbing though wasn't it?

I sense this is how Nolan is going to do Joker in the next Bat flick. Not as serious as these two guys were, but the whole thing about disguises and pulling complex pranks just for the acclaim.

Yeah this is really a good sign. The rivalry came off very well.

Truthfully, that's when I started to figure it out there. Something just didn't seem right at all with that particular moment.

I loved that the film made you use your brain though. Definitely a great one that I'll buy on DVD.

And the scene where Angier breaks his leg was twice as brutal since I knew that was coming.

UNfortunately I figured it out from the beginning since I read the book first. Even then, I could still see that it was very cleverly hidden. I could easily see where most people wouldn't know that was Bale without having prior knowledge of it happening.

I really liked this movie. Usually if I've read the book before seeing the movie, I am disssapointed with the fiml (they're never as good), but this is one of the rare times where I liked they way they did some of the tings better than they were done in the book. Of course, there were also parts better in teh book than there were in the movie, but that is to be expected. My only question is if too many peopl ewill be left confused by the ending. It was easy for me since I read the book, and the friends I went with seemed to figure it out, but I could see people not quite getting it since it wasn't obviously stated.

Either way, I give this film a 9/10

Just saw the movie and absolutely loved it. Nolan has become one of my favorite filmmakers working today. But I seem to be missing something.

Am I missing something at the end? There was two Bordens yes, but a lot of reviews I read say there is something else about the last shot of the movie, and I must have missed it. I hear the Michael Caine narration, and see the all the top hats and stuff, but what am I missing?

Wow. Just wow. My brain is like in overload mode right now. That was such a great movie. It was incredible. All of the twists and turns in it. I hadn't read the book and had read little to no spoilers for this movie so I was completely floored when I found out the twist.

I love the Bales character never really cheated on his wife, that one brother was completely faithful to the wife and daughter, while the other was completely faithful to Scarlett Johannson's character. I'm so glad at the end when the father is reunited with the child, very moving.

Anyway, a spectacular movie. I give it a well deserved 10/10.

Didn't expect SO positive reviews. looks like The Prestige is The Best of 2006

Can somebody give me description of the final scene? :D

Sure, Michael Caine does a magic trick with a bird and a cage.
