yet, last week you kept asking people last about some of the spoiler stuff, like the things that happened near the end. Change of heart?

I was one of those people.

I wanted to know only main spoilers, not details.

huh, Cinemaman? who needs the details when you got the spoilers! That doesn't make any sense but God bless you anyway.

I'll explaiun you.

Lets take The Departed as example.

[blackout]Damon's character dies at the end[/blackout] - that's one of the main spoilers in the movie.

[blackout]Wahlberg's character kills Damon's in his flat[/blackout] - and this is the detail of the main spoilers.

I want to know only the main spoilers (varient 1).

Spoilers:

[blackout]
Actually,

Tesla's machine teleports the "original" to another place while leaving the clone on the machine.

It was the original (Jackman) who killed the first clone.

And throughout his London performances, he's been killing off his clones with the water device beneath the trap door.

Borden's twin explained to his brother everynight there has been a carriage carrying off the water chamber.

I guess Tesla drew in his plans that he had to kill off his clones or something that is why (Jackman) never told Cutter how the Trick was done.
[/blackout]

Again
Angier tells Borden that at the end of the magic trick he didn't know if he would have been under the stage (not in the water tank) or somewhere else in the theatre. Probably the replicas were exact replicas, with his same thought patterns, so everyone of them is tecnically Angier.
The water tank under the stage was there beacuse Angier himself put it there to frame Borden

Then why?

Spoiler:

[BLACKOUT]
Why Did the first clone shot Angier or vice versa??

And why did Borden's twin saw the same water device being moved everynight after the trick?

And why at the end of the movie..the last scene was another Angier clone dead on the water torture device?
[/BLACKOUT]

Ok
Every time Angier uses the machine he produces another him, an exact replica. The first time he uses it, the one still in the machine kills the other one.
They are both Angier, there's not an original and a clone.
If he has set up that everytime he does the number on stage, the Angier in the machine ends up in the water tank and gets killed, that's very twisted. Will you risk every night your life not knowing if the machine will really produce another you in a part of the theatre?
That will explain the replica in the water tank at the end, though.

Well since a sequal isn't expected, I don't care. This was an awesome film.

Another malfuctioning crystal ball?

Huh? I am not counting machine, I can't see the future.

At least I was right with opening day.

Still hope it will make $55-65m.

I thought the tank was under the stage all the time to catch and water torture the Angrier in the machine, due to the trap door and Cutter not being allowed backstage.

Only $14m opening weekend :(
To be more specific, 14,8m. It´s within analysts predictions, and it surprisingly beat Flags Of Our Fathers, which was expected to be number one. With a budget of 40m. TP can very well turn a nice profit for the studio.

It'll end its domestic run at the Box Office at around 40 million me thinks, about the same as the reported budget.

I think it´ll do more than that, the movie seems to have good WOM. Nolan tends to be more of a marathonist than a sprinter at the BO.

I'd say $63m.

Perhaps a spin-off? TESLA v. EDISON :woot:

I never thought of that.

That is what exactly happened. He killed himself every night just for that one night when Borden showed up.
