Sequels The Problem with Female Action Movies

Is that they try to target them to little ten year old girls. Thats why Elektra and Catwoman bombed. And thats why The White Queen will bomb. You would think they would have learned by now, but no when their crap movies bomb they think its because the public doesn't want female action stars.

No we want them down right like Ripley in Aliens. Ripley wasn't worried about her sexy catsuit she was trying to stay alive and save her friends.

A white Queen movie could work if it was done right. The character is strong. The same with a storm movie. The character is strong. Both are popular. Why not do a Storm and White Queen movie together. Storm vs Emma would be cool.

Emma and Storm don't have a lot of things in common so it would be hard to make a movie about both of them.

I don't really like Emma Frost but I'd rather her be introduced as a villain in X4 rather than in a spinoff destined for failure. I'd like to see her as a former student of Prof. X's and have a rivalry with Storm. They fight and what not and then there is some character development.

I'd say yes because Joss Whedon is Directing/writing it. I know a lot of people don't like him, but his Buffy series lasted, I wanna say maybe, 6-7 seasons. He is great at writing interesting and engaging stories. With credits including Angel, Alien Ressurection, Titan A.E., Firefly, Buffy, and even Toy Story he knows how to balance out a story and action and I think we can expect a great Wonder Woman movie.

Not expecting that from an X-Men spinoff where the upcoming main character hasn't even been introduced even in cameo or mention.
Same goes for Gambit.

I agree!! I'm a fan of both Buffy and Angel, which were such amazing shows!!

I bet if Joss Whedon re-made Catwoman, he would make it almost classic...NO LIE, his that good!!!

Words cannot express how much I loathe and despise Emma Frost. She's lame, her personality is nowhere near interesting enough to justify bringing her in, and other people (Jean, Colossus) already have her powers.

I really dont think the Emma Frost movie will be targeted to ten year-old girls...lol But Im not sure how she could hold up a movie by her self!?
I cant wait to see the first trailer.....I dont really think this movie will do that bad. But I do hope its the last solo movie before X-4 so that it doesnt make the other solo movies fall...if it's bad..

I thought the problem with female action movies was that so many of them have been poorly written, poorly directed and poorly acted. Catwoman & Elektra felt more like music videos crossed with crappy Victoria Secret showcasings.

You've got a point here! Let's hope they'll do a better job in Emma's case.
