The Products' OFFICIAL Transformers Thread for us to ramble on and on about TFs

Well I'm now 1-2 weeks away from owning reissue Prowl and Smokescreen. :word: Now if I could just find movie Ironhide and 70's BB, when I have money to pay for them. :cmad:

And wishing that I had the money for this guy.

Energon Ultra Magnus. He's a headmaster.

He also combines with Armada Prime.

As you can see in the back there.

Is this yellow guy in the front Fire Convoy or just a RID Prime repaint?? He's damn bright.

Hasbro Universe Optimus Prime (aka repaint). He's yellow and stuff. Car robots Fire Convoy looks almost identical to RiD Prime. The only differneces are lack of autobot symbols on his super mode shoulder pads and a license plate that has his toy number on it (C-001).

His partner is Universe Ultra Magnus.

I'm not a fan of the combined Omega Prime. I like RID Prime's ultra mode. He won't be a Prime in my collection though, I'll be making him into a new character once I do the repaint.

My interest starts to fade once transformers start to combine to form a different transformers

Other than combiner teams very few characters do that. Omega Prime/God Fire Convoy and Victory Saber are the only ones I know of. However I love combiners. Kind of like Voltron.

i'm just friggin happy i FINALLY have an Ironhide. He was harder to find then the 08 BB. 08 BB is getting to a lot more common around here.

Yeah from what I was reading on TFW2005 08 BB is in like 6 different case assortments now, and 4-6 figs per case in some to boot.

Well if you really can't find you may have a scalper in your area. I know a few anti-scalper tactics. They don't involve choking them out just how to beat them.

i prefer a heavy, blunt object.

Then I don't want to hear them. :o

Nah, I kid. I haven't been to anywhere in at least a week, so I will check asap. In the meantime, anti scalper tactics appreciated. Though I see a guy in the aisle taking five, I will hit him. :cwink:

1) Know when your local retailers a) get new stock, and b) re-stock the shelves.

This isn't a big secret, if you ask a toy section person they'll probably tell you. My borther did just that with a TRU employee when we went looking for a Blackout for him to buy me for my birthday. Ended up with Starscream so it wasn't all bad.

2)Rise early for scalper do.

This tip is the less pleasant of any of them. As it means standing in front of WM/TRU/whatever when they unchain the doors at 8 am. The reason for the unpleasantness is being associated with the 8am freakshow collectors. The hardcore Star Wars and Hotwheel collectors/Morlocks. The kind of "people" (I use the term loosely) who will get into fist fight with each other or steal from small children to get the short packed Vader or this years chase vehicle.

3)Don't hunt on weekends

It's not totally pointless to hunt on weekends but the best time is when the shelfs are freshly stocked with shiny new product. This means Monday-Wedenesday, around midday. Brown bag your lunch eat it on the way to the mall and hunt then.

I highly disagree with the last "tip"

when i worked at target we'd be getting toy shipments in on saturdays and sundays just like any other day. and i've seen the best shipments at TRU Saturday mornings/afternoons. That's when i grabbed my 08 BB.

Same here. My WM is a 24hr WM and they get stuff on Saturdays/Sundays and they stock s*** continuously. I won't lie, I've hit more bullseyes on early Monday trips at 5-6am but I've spotted a few dandy finds on Sat-Sun before.
