This is real OMGWTFBBQ moment. Takara is going to release the classis molds in Japan. Yeah that's right TAKARA IS RELEASING THEM!! Maybe it doesn't seem like big news but Takara can give classics Megatron a silver/red/black colour scheme. They could colour Astrotrain grey and purple. They could release Thundercracker, or Dirge.

So far the first 4 they are releasing are as follows.

C-01 - Optimus
C-02 - Megatron
C-03 - Bumblebee
C-04 - Starscream

And there is a good chance these will just be "USA editions." That is Hasbro product with Japanese text stickers. But until pics materialize we can only speculate. IF they do silver/re/black Megs and/or a grey/purple Space choo-choo, they get my dollars.

I'm satisfied with my Classics. Only ones I'd have any interest in are Starscream and maybe some more of the jets.

Not knowing how ironclad FP's (the peeps who do botcon) contract with Hasbro is it's hard to say whether Takara can do any of the characters from the botcon set. Dirge would be the least problematic. Give him a proper set of wings....

You don't know how spoiled you are being in the US (or it's territories). You've got the cheapest prices on toys anywhere.

A mainline price chart for Japanese TF prices might be informative. These are all for Cybertron.
Scout=940 Yen ($8.07)
Deluxe=2000 Yen ($17.16)
Voyager=3000 Yen ($25.74)
Ultra=4000 Yen ($34.31)
Leader=5200 Yen ($44.60)

For the movie line it's
Deluxe=2200 Yen ($18.87)
Voyager=3500 Yen ($30.02)
Leader=6500 Yen ($55.75)

Add to that that Takara tends to charge a bit more for collectors lines. You'll see why they are going to cost 3000 and 4000 Yen.

What the US pay in dollars, we usually end up paying the same but in pounds over here. So we're almost paying double for the exact same thing. Now that sucks monkey balls!

In other news I'm going to try and get in on a Masterpiece Megatron group buy. Appearantly the bulk purchase discount price is $80-$85. I'm not sure which yet I just put my name down.

Lulz! I think the cases we're getting here are still BB short packed.

Takara announced the next two encore reissues after Ironhide and Ratchet. 07 Sky lynx and 08 Jazz.
