I just rented this AMAZING film last night and i was in awe of the just flat out ungodly and uncanny ability of this man (Tony Jaa). The story was rather well done as well if you can take kung fu films serious, which apparently my immature friends cant. It was a heart felt, truely enlightening experience. He wasnt just fighting for anything, he was actually fighting his heart out because he was defending his "brother" and his father. I could just feel the was he felt I could feel the anger comming off the screen not because he had a mad face but because he could communicate so well for a fighting performer. He really conveyed his emotions very well. I would recommend this movie to anyone really, fans of action or fans of movies. It was just great and im glad Tarrantino payed to bring it to America and produced it i believe. Im just really glad it was good and not horrible like so many imported films. So what are you reading this for GO RENT IT!!!!

So I was the only one that saw this.

second film? ong bak = 1, warrior king=2 i thought?

What film are you talking about?

He made films before Ong Bak.

but he said rented, and in England you can't rent any films before ONg BAK, so it's considered his first film over here....

Tony Jaa has skills no doubt but the bottom line is he needs to surround himself with better talent...and I'm talking screenwriters, directors, choreographers, etc. His movies lack any kind of story, don't have any watchable characters and as great as his martial arts and acrobatic skills are, it can't make up for the terrible choreography. His fight scenes consist of stunt men lining up and standing perfectly still to take a fancy spinning kick to the face or a flying knee to the chest and it's already played out. Time for Jaa to come up with some better stuff or get some worthy opponents.
