Those games suck ass any way. I wouldn't worry about missing them.

So what was zapping from RE2 that someone mentioned?

One of the best features from the older games that never made are return. Here's a description from Wikipedia

The main addition over the preceding game is the "Zapping System": Resident Evil 2 confronts each of the two playable characters with different puzzles and storylines in their respective scenarios. After finishing the "A" scenario with one protagonist, a "B" scenario, in which the events are depicted from the other character's perspective (meaning while this was going on, this was happening to the other character), is unlocked. The player has the option of starting the "A" scenario with either of the two protagonists, resulting in a total of four different scenarios. Actions taken during the first playthrough affect the second. For example, the availability of certain items may be altered. After each game, the player receives a ranking based on the total time taken to complete the scenario, and on the number of saves and special healing items used.

Did it make all that much difference if Leon was the B scenario? How did that change the game for him exactly?

So...nothing on Resident Evil 6?
When were we expecting to get news? Wasn't it September? Or is it November?

Thinking of this series I think after Operation Raccoon City comes out, they should just reboot it. They've gotten so far removed from the original concept that it hasnt quite felt like RE in ages. RE4 brought some much needed improvements to the gameplay but took the story in a completely different direction, not properly resolving the overall arc which had been building up since RE1. We kinda got some closure to that with RE5 but it had the co op which wasnt well recieved and felt more like an action title than before. Not sure where else they can go with the story nor do I think the characters as they stand need to be revisted.

I think they should throw everything out the window and start over with a reboot especially since after over 15 years and several games, things have gotten a bit convoluted and complex. Create a new origin story for the franchise in Raccoon City or possibly something where else. Keep the focus on zombies though and not any of these variations which arent quite the same. I liked Sheva as a character so it could be cool if she could be worked in as a supporting character from the beginning. How about have Jill and Leon be the main protagonists? Jill sent in by STARS to help contain the newly emerged zombie outbreak clashes with the local police department with how to handle the situation. Id make Leon a young detective instead of rookie on the job for the first time. The two would be forced to work together despite their differences and personality clashes.

Eh, if ur gonna change it up that much, might as well come up with new characters.

well one of the points of rebooting is to change things up and not keep as close to the original as possible. Introducing new characters isnt a bad idea either

Yea I'm really not sure where id like them to go. All i know is the most fund iv ever had with this series was exploring a creepy mansion in Resident Evil and wandering Raccoon City in Resident Evil 2.

I don't see the need for a reboot. I think they should tie up whatever loose ends of the current storylines with Umbrella, and then focus on new characters fighting a different menace. I really don't want them to go back to Raccoon City and start over.

I think they need to go back to Raccoon City. In form of a remake of Resident Evil 2. :argh:

meh all you have to do is make a present day story where wesker goes back to Raccoon City and get chris jill and leon after him and he set the whole thing as a trap in present day.

Wouldn't present day Raccoon City still be a wasteland? Also, Wesker is kinda dead.

Yeah they nuked it in RE3 and Wesker got killed off in RE5. He really does NOT need to come back yet again. They also shut down Umbrella years ago. Alot of the common RE mythos are done and over with. Its why I think they should just reboot

lol there always to get around wesker being dead .and beside he's going back to mess with them he knows the place is nuked doesn't mean he doesn't want to reforce them to relive bad memory's or bring one new bad memory's

Wesker took a bath in lava and got his head taken off by 2 missiles. And Chris and company would just think "Have a nice radiation poisoning." if he went back to Raccoon City.

underneath the city would be fine or the old mansion then, ok if you don'twant not bother with wesker(though as I said that could have been gotten around) lets who else was a villain but hasn't been seen in while. I know that usually happens in series like this . there must be some villain that just hanging in limbo waiting to be used.

but do we really need that? Wesker's constant resurrections and power upgrades has really convoluted him from his original inception in RE1. I think he's become too much of a mess as is

lol havok what did I just say?I want you to think, what other villains haven't been used as much but are still in limbo, there must be a few. I'm ok with it not being wesker.

Sorry I only saw what you had written on the last page

I just want them to finish Leon and Claire's story in RE6 like they did for Chris and Jill in RE5.
After that, they can reboot with whatever they want, I don't really care.
