Sorry I only saw what you had written on the last page

it's cool it happens. anyway there must be a few villains living that just haven't been used though. it's obvious that wesker wasn't pulling that all off on his own , after the fall of umbrella.

beside the can't go back not with this

House of the Dead 3 and 4 becoming PSN neighbors

and this

Amy to launch next week with a mysterious price structure
(23 hours ago)

Developer VectorCell may be trying to tell us that things won't be normal in Amy -- its prices and release dates are more complicated than they first appear. Amy will drop in Europe on Jan. 11 for XBLA and PSN, and the US version will launch on Jan. 11 for XBLA. The US PSN edition launches on Jan. 10.

That wasn't so hard -- but we haven't yet gotten to the prices. Amy will cost $12.99 (€9.9, £7.99) on PSN, and 800 MS Points on XBLA. 800 MS Points converts to $10 (€7.82, £6.46), which, for the mathematically challenged, is $3 less than the PSN version. It must cost a lot to come out a day early, or maybe this is just another way for VectorCell to keep us in the dark.

The game is also coming to PC, but VectorCell says it won't be until "several months after the PSN/XBLA version, and we can't announce a date yet because we haven't totally finalized our distribution deals." What a twist!

on it's heals

I just want them to finish Leon and Claire's story in RE6 like they did for Chris and Jill in RE5.
After that, they can reboot with whatever they want, I don't really care.

I agree with this. That would tie up the last of the loose ends for me and they could then reboot or just retire the series.

If they reboot, I think I'll probably just be finished with the series. I don't really have much desire to go back to the early days of Chris and Jill, and I really don't see why they can't just have new characters that aren't directly connected with the others complete with some new storyline.

hmmm which is what I'm afraid most people will do if they do that with the series. So that's why I'm asking is there / there must be a villain that hasn't been used in while that's been in limbo, that's still usable. . from what I'm understand with this series this just the human being able to defend them selves what what people like wesker set up. it' hasn't reached end their like mid way here.

I think Ada Wong and whoever she is working for are the only remaining villains, which is part of Leon's story.

well they can make series through that til they come up with more ideas.

Sherry's safety was used to blackmail Leon into working with the government. While Leon and Claire went off to continue the fight against Umbrella, Sherry was given into government custody. Claire gave Sherry her prized pink vest as a reminder of their time together. Though relatively safe in the governments care, Albert Wesker has some spies working within keeping an eye on her.

I had the feeling that Claire was taking care of her.
Where did you get this information from?

I personally dont think they can make that work. Raccoon City, Jill, Chris, Wesker,Leon and Claire is the best this series can do.

I seriously think the best this franchise can offer is an HD RErelease of Resident Evil from the GameCube and a full on REmake of Resident Evil 2. There won't be anything better than that. This series is still the best in survival horror but only if you count the first 2 games. Maybe 3 and CV can be thrown in as well.

I would, at the very least, like to see them try and see what they can come up with, instead of just retreading the same material in different ways with a reboot or just revising material with HD remakes. I'm sure there were probably people who were like, "What? No way they can top Chris and Jill!?" when RE2 was coming out, so I don't really subscribe to this fatalist view that it can't work.

if they do HD remakes I'll just take it as that's them doing that while their thinking up new ideas for future stories . it won't be a problem for me. some storys need time to be crafted and fleshed out. .

Has the series gotten better after RE2? Id argue no, not even close. Maybe RE4, but even then the series started drifting too far away and RE5 was an abomination on the RE name and while i think OC will be a fun game, thats even further away from what made RE great. I dont trust Capcom to make a quality game any more. The best they can do is RE-do what they've already done before. They've proven they are out of ideas. Ones that work any way.

For me RE1-3 is where its at. Everything that came after just couldn't live up to or surpass those three games. I can pop them in at any given time and I know I'll have fun and enjoy the **** out of them. There is no goddamn reason for Capcom not to work tirelessly to recapture what made the first few RE games so very, very good. RE4 was a good game, but to me it just wasn't RE. RE5 is the same way IMO. At least ORC has the zombies and Raccoon City setting going for it. I'm looking forward to returning to the original outbreak.

Well, I guess I'd argue the other way since RE4 is my favorite of the series for a variety of reasons. But like I said, you can subscribe to this fatalist view if you want, and obviously you do. But I do not, and at the very least, I'd like them to actually try before retreading and rebooting. I don't know if Capcom is unable to do, if so, then maybe hand it off to a 3rd party for a fresh perspective or something. I'd much rather have that, even if it doesn't work out, then just more rebooting and revising, neither of which I have any real interest in.

Agreed.

While RE4 was a "good" game, to me, it was NOT Resident Evil. It was Leon Kennedy and the Crazy Villagers. I don't have much faith in Capcom anymore... they're more or less a few beers short of a six pack.

I loved RE1-3 as well but those games are almost unplayable as they dont hold up well at all. Bad graphics and clunky controls. I tried RE2 last year and I could barely get past the first segment. I welcome the much asked for remake of RE2 and 3. I really wish Capcom would jump on that

I'm not interested in any remakes, especially of Resident Evil 2. I mean, I would if they gave it the REmake treatment, but in this day and age, I seriously doubt that would happen. They would just turn it into kind of a bad shooter like RE4 and 5.

Why would it be a bad shooter? The controls could handle like RE4 and 5, but still retain all the horror elements that made RE2 great. That extra Mission in RE5, with Chris and Jill in the mansion and barely any firepower, showed how easily it could be done.

A RE2 remake with RE5 style gameplay and co-op is what I'd like to see.

That would be a game worth playing. I have no problems with the gameplay upgrades made in RE4-5. It's the story and environment and feel that bugs me.

How would you want co op in that? You think they should alter the story so that Leon and Claire were together the entire time? Or maybe a seperate non-canon mode? Actually I wouldnt mind the latter

I wouldn't mind if they change they storyline. I always thought they should have been together, rather than going their own separate ways, especially since both pretty much walk the same route anyway.

Urg, no to forced co-op. NO! NO, STEER AWAY WILL ROBINSON, STEER AWAY!!!

EDIT: Oh wait, you guys are taking about a RE2 remake. Well, whateva. Forced co-op = suck, though :o

All I know is, despite RE5 being a bad RE game, that I had tons of fun playing through it multiple times with a friend.
