I just saw Damnation this morning and man that came across more like a game than a movie. It felt like a series of cutscenes and I could have easily have seen that story adapted to a game

Worth a watch? I'm one of the few who liked Degeneration, I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

I saw it last month. it was ok it just showed to me really(this was what was running through my head) that there are ether other people that seem to be in the business of making BOW's and the cause these out breaks or there are still left overs from the old umbrella and their in a civil war with each other and having Ada steal what ever new experiments those other people fighting each other have.

yeah that's what I meant by "it was ok ." I wasn't looking at it from a horror setting since capcom seems to keep saying that part of the franchise their not dealing with cause they feel it's dead. It was a animated action movie with creatures. As a lead in to RE6

So far in RE6...the only creature to give me a brief scare was the Rasklapanje.

...not the first time you meet it...but after a few fights with them, theres one of those action cutscenes where they jump out at the characters and that gave me a quick jump...

also...I think the creepiest BOW so far in RE6

Have you played revelations Hellion ? I know it on a mobile device and all but that miht be more your thing. they should probably port it.

Comparing what I've done so far in Leon to Chris...I enjoyed Chris more so far...although I really enjoy the appearance of zombies and variations in the Leon campaign.

I think, interestingly, each campaign finds its strengths and weaknesses in the game's co-op. I played the whole thing through with a friend the first time and while Leon's campaign suffers from two people being present, Chris and Jake's are a lot of fun for it.

Meanwhile going back and replaying Leon's campaign in SP is a great experience too.

I dunno, I thought the graveyard part was great in both SP and Co-op for Leon's campaign.

It's not that I didn't like Leon's in co-op, it's just that I instantly recognized the atmosphere that Capcom were going for the second I restarted it in single player, which was entirely lost on me in co-op.

How do you save after the checkpoints? Everytime I restart, it starts me in the beginning of the current chapter

Pretty much. I still haven't played too far but I love the atmosphere durign Leon's campaign. If they ever do remake RE2 I'd want it done with this gameplay while keeping everything else intact. Dealing with classic zombies in this style is freakin' awesome but the horror of it all is cheapened by having somebody at your side. For example, an early bit in Leon's campaign,

I knew bad s**t was going to go down when we stepped into the elevator but it would have been way more intense if I was the only person there. Was the father or daughter going to turn? I wasn't sure, but I knew I would have to save Helena or she would have to save me. Ugh. Incredibly underwhelming.

yeah about that, Shane of gt talked with the director's of RE6 on an Re2 remake and kinda convinced him to keep doing what he's doing with making new Re sequels . and the main director said he rather keepin new sequels any way. I watched it a few hours ago it was in IW. here

Episode 228: Honorable Panda-Com

The big games cometh:

so no RE2 remake. Anyway I'm sure people wouldn't have liked it.

lol, true, they'd probably wind up butchering it anyway.

I really enjoyed Degeneration and I think it's the best RE movie so far, but I think Damnation is severely below its predecessor.

Man they freaked me out in Chris's campaign when I had to find the three passcodes. The music was creepy.

I finished RE6 and to be honest, the game definitely did not live up to my expectations. It had its moments, Leon's campaign started really great and cutscenes were nice but eh, they should have just focused on 1 long campaign instead of giving 3 different campaigns (I didn't count Ada's campaign since I consider it a bonus campaign). I hope they will go back to the classic RE with RE7.

Me too, but I doubt.
Millions of units being sold will be understood by Capcom as "we like what you're doing and support this formula, so keep doing it."

What sucked about RE6 is they were moments that it felt like classic Resident Evil. I enjoyed Ada's solving puzzles and finding keys/items. I enjoyed Sherry/Jake trying to hide from the monster that kept following them. I enjoyed the creepy feeling of Leon's first two chapters. But after I finished some of the chapters, it quickly went back to being an action game, enemies were shooting at me with their guns, I had to drive helicopters/vehicles and ugh! I wish they just stuck to survival horror.

Finished Leon's campaign the other day. I loved it for the most part, but the last battle gets a bit annoying. I don't mind a challenge, but man that one is kinda like the cave where there's so many enemies that you get tired of taking them out. I'll play Chris' campaign tonight.

The game feels a bit rushed, incomplete, a certain lack of polish. Not to say I don't enjoy it because I do.

I kind of wonder if the 3 campaigns were originally at different points in the games production maybe supposed to be a sole story/campaign at different points. I'm reminded of the productions/histories of RE4 and RE2. RE4 went through so many changes/revamps and RE2 IIRC went through story, character (Elza Walker) changes...For RE6 Instead of scrapping everything each time maybe the just kept everything, and added a few cutscenes to connect them......

I'm still in the early chapters of Leon and while I loved the atmosphere they were trying to create (recreate?) overall I found them a bit annoying (I did like the puzzles in the
lab area in the Cathedral
. So far I've complete the Chris campaign, and I think I enjoyed that campaign more than what I've completed in Leon's. I was all around into Chris's more than Leon's so far.

While not as creepy as the Rasklapanje...I did find the Lepotitsa a bit unnerving...

Finished Leon's going through Jake and so far

Chris > Leon > Jake

I wanted so much to like this game but I just can't say it was great. I've played through it twice and it was decent to mediocre. The "dinosaur" fight will go down as one of the most inane things I've done in awhile, it didn't help I had to do it 5 times.

I only played the Leon demo. It was just "ok". Camera issues (including that it's too zoomed in and your character blocks your view), too many QTEs.

Leon's and [blackout]what I've seen of Ada's[/blackout] would interest me, but not for the current asking price...for when it's bargain bin time.

I'm just going to wait until it's cheaper. Hopefully by then there will be patches or something too. They can start by fixing the camera.

A lot of common complaints seem to be (I can only vouch for some of them because of the demo)
-bad camera/camera with a mind of its own
-camera is too zoomed in/god help anyone with a TV that has overscan issues
-more QTEs than ever before/direct control is constantly taken away from the player
-controls are not adequately explained
-campaigns are too different/Frankenstein's monster of a game
-it tries to imitate top tier shooter & action titles but fails to be as good as them/it tries to imitate past RE's horror but fails at that as well/who is this for

On the plus side
-AI for co-op partner is better than previous game
-lots of content
-looks good

'Resident Evil 6' Patch To Fix Camera, Unlock Fourth Campaign From The Start (campaign "spoiler" in link if you really care.) It has comparison screenshots.

Coming in December. :yay:
