The hate and negativity rang hollow for me. I've already put 19 hours into RE6 and love it.

I'm glad to seeing a majority of Hypster's enjoying it and not understanding the reviews.

Yep, finished Jake's and Chris' scenarios and I love this game. Much better than RE5 in my opinion.

I understand the problems reviewers are having, but I'm enjoying the game enough to overlook the problems. Biggest issue is the camera. Whole **** is it bad. I've died more in this game due to ****** camera issues than any RE ever. But I am having a significant amount of fun otherwise.

The camera would be a lot better if they just pulled back a bit and if your character walked instead of run

Your character can walk. Just don't tilt the analog stick all the way. That's the only complaint I will never understand.

So I get the distinct impression, RE7, whenever if comes out, or any subsequent DLC might feature Jake as the main character. I come to this because at the end of Ada's and Piers' campaign, you get a short ending with him in some city in the Middle East, and he's about to take on a bunch of B.O.W. What do you think?

Yeah I understand that but the difference between walking and running with the stick tilted is so minimal that its very hard not to run

how do you dash? Its saying L + X but that doesn't seem to work? Thats the left stick right?

I just started playing and I'm currently in the opening mission with Leon + Helena

Yeah it should just be the left stick and X (or A on Xbox). There are, however, portions of the game where you can't sprint at all.

The command says L+X and its one of those event cutscenes...am I suppose to hold it, tap it?

I've done both and can't get past that cutscene?...and is this a tutorial scenario

I just held the button to sprint. Also I'm pretty sure you can hold down the left stick to sprint like in other shooter games.

Regarding the hate, from what I understand the hate scale is like this

About 20% have actually played the game and genuinely don't like it and have real problems with it.

About 20% have or have not played it, but because it's Capcom and they're against their practices and what they've turned the franchise into, they put off the game. In other words, they're biased.

About 60% are only hating it because of the reviews and the mixed reception in general. Basically bandwagon jumpers who never played the game or even know anything about it.

This is kind of the sad truth of the whole situation.

I've yet to play it. Hopefully soon, but it's so true it hurts.

I'm loving it too...only got a couple hours into it earlier today and hopefully will get to it soon.

I agree. The critics are full of ****. Not every RE game's gonna be just like the first 3 numbered games! Survival/horror's evolved over the years; Dead Space is proof of this.

But Dead Space is leaps and bounds better than RE5 and it appears RE6. I agree survival horror has changed but Capcom is just leaving it behind completely.

Thats debatable. I never liked DS and much preferred RE5 over it

Ew, just, ew.

Altho, two different genres i guess. DS is more horror and RE5 was straight action.

Opinions have a fine line of being biased and not biased. I see it all the time everywhere. **** happens.

Just beat Leon's campaign. I liked it, but it's a completely uninspired piece of work. You could play the thing with your eyes glazed over.

Obviously I need to play the other three campaigns to make up my mind completely but I think critics are well within reason to give the game a bit of a kick. It's coming a little late - RE5 seemed to get off lightly - but when we're talking about a series that defined a genre then redefined it, it's pretty disheartening to see it stoop to playing catch-up to Uncharted.

I finished Leon's campaign and right now I'm on Chris'.

I thought Leon was good but starting from the plane part, it was just all action especially when he and Helena arrived at China, it wasn't scary anymore.

Chris' campaign reminded me of Call of Duty, it was pure action, no keys, no puzzles, its not scary, and its just like RE5 but with more action.
