The entire planet is waiting for an RE2 REmake. You see, Capcom is really, really, really, really stupid. They don't do "smart" things. We won't get an RE2 REmake because we want it too, too much.

I'd argue it's also gamers who have changed. If the REmake were to come out today or a REmake of 2 were to come out I don't think it'd do nearly as well as people think. Gamers just want to shoot s**t now.

For some reason I couldn't get the needed components to activate that computer after Regina beat the computer and they met that Dr. (Clark? His name escapes me), and I went to all the right places and did all the needed things

Id honestly take a REmake of any of the early RE games (RE2, 3, CV) before id ask for a new game in the series or a reboot.

I do agree that Capcom need to really rethink their strategy with this series but the fan mentality is really starting to piss me off.

Why is there obsession with recreating the past? It seems like Capcom are stuck in this real damned if you do, damned if you don't situation...They try to cater to the fans and they're totally hampering any growth or closing the series off to newcomers who, 3 consoles after the series start, have no idea who Leon, Chris, Ada, Wesker, Jill etc are and nor they care.

On the other hand, it seems like if they were to try a different reboot and go with a different style like they did with DmC, they'd probably lose the hardcore fans, regardless of how good the remake is.

This series needs a massive revamp but it also needs the freedom to be allowed to change without feeling under fan pressure. Sure we all loved RE 1 and 2 but the series hasn't been like that for a while, I'd rather see them try something new if it means the chance for something fresh and GOOD than see them fail by trying to recapture lightning in a bottle.

As far as I'm concerned, RE got its reboot with 4 and it's been downhill ever since.

Go back to square one.... Restart the whole damn series. A retelling more than a reboot.

They still need to release 0 - 3 on Consoles not made by Nintendo before rebooting

As much as I am a classic RE fanboy, if they did a complete reboot and actually made it good I would not complain. Give me a good game and I won't ***** about what character I'm playing. Sure, I love the classic stuff and always want more of it, but right now giving me stuff like RE6 is alienating me as a fan more so than a reboot featuring new characters.

Yea i feel the same way. I love Chris, Jill, Leon etc, but if they want to reboot or give me new characters but keep what made the orig games so great, then i wont complain. In other words I wont act like one of those bratty, whiney, d-bag Devil May Cry fanboys. Im open to a different take.
