They should have brought her back instead of introducing so many new playable protagonists. I haven't played it so for all I know she could be cool, but when I saw that Helena character announced, I thought that could have easily been Claire used instead.

when clair becomes an agent it'll be possible. Any way that's on capcom to make that happen in a story. So far it seems clair has never wanted to be one, so.... I just find it funny that Helena is seen as a replacement to some people for clair when she's younger then sherry according to capcom's made wiki profile. Its just possible she was not a replacement but another body just for the story cause she actually worked for the government as a secret service agent and the prez on his protective detail and she was be used also cause her sister was be used to bate her from the main villain of the game of 6. lol which wouldn't have made sense for clair in an interchangeable sense.

Again it's not clair's occupation. it's all on capcom on how she enters the story and It seems there wasn't an easy way to enter her this time.

Claire wasn't an agent in any of the games she has starred in. Throwing her into a scenario where she is forced to survive isn't dependent on that. That's a weak excuse if you believe that's why she cant be a protagonist

That's my point as i said she just happened to be in the same town cause she lived with chris and other times she was just pulled in, which still dealt with her older brother or just being in the same town yet again, That can only work so many times as I've stated.

Where was the "in" for her for this Havok ?
Chris was a drunk jerk that got pulled back and was on a mission in china and there's no way(buyable) for her to visit Leon for this since he was with the president before hell broke loose in that city he was at. and sherry was in a covert mission.

Ether way if there was an in it had nothing to do with Helena being there. The only thing that makes sense to me is to have the president want a witness for what happen in Raccoon city other then Leon.

Ether way as I said it had nothing to do with Helena cause of her plot forthe story for 6's installment would still need to be played out and they really wanted it played out since her sister was part of the villains plan. So in a way she still would have been there. Too bad they didn't want it that way at all. at least we would have had Clair in some way.

We should also be happy capcom hasn't picked up writers that hate fans being overly particular about needing to see fan faves often and do not want to see anyone else other and those writers decide to do kill sprees of those fan faves over it, like what's been happening in both comic's and prime time tv series over here in north America. We should be very thankful that hasn't started in game series as well.

Eh its really not. Reusing Claire would just be trudging too far into "wrong place at the wrong time" territory. Claire isnt seeking this stuff out any more. She's not working for the Govt the likes of Leon, Chris and Jill. They keep throwing themselves into the fire, Claire isnt doing that. Claire doesnt fit any more. These games have all but become COD with the RE logo slapped on the box.

But isn't she part of some kind of BOW clean-up company or something of that nature? I seem to remember that from that CG movie. You could easily make some kind of outbreak in her lab or area she's handling. It's easy to create a scenario like that.

I, of course, only support this idea if she shoots a helicopter down with a crossbow

the problem is Clair doesn't do lab work in that place she works at. That place is a human rights organization. and where what she's been doing occupation wise is exposing any one that's been involved in creating B.o.w.s. like I said the only thing that makes sense is for her to be used as a witness for what that president wanted to tell the people before he was turned into a zombie in 6's installment. while I 'm not addressing the CG movie there some other young brunette that worked in the special police unite that chris worked with in while he was in raccoon. which it would make sense for her to make a reappearance. Rebecca Chambers she should be a doctor in that field by now. it makes sense for her to do lab work and solving most of those problems.

Resident Evil: Revelations HD Sells 900,000 Worldwide. July 31, 2013 . 11:58pm

“Solid sales” for Resident Evil: Revelations indeed, and Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen sales weren’t too shabby either.

Earlier today, we reported that Capcom profits in their first quarter (April – June) dropped 37% due to a lack of major releases, with the HD version of Resident Evil: Revelations and Dragon’s Dogma being the only two high-profile titles released.

Capcom said both games had seen “solid sales” but had failed to have an impact on overall company sales. Now, we know how they both did.

In a new report, Capcom detail that the HD Resident Evil: Revelations has sold 900,000 copies worldwide. Meanwhile, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen has sold 550,000 copies worldwide.

Capcom’s second quarter (July – September) will include the release of Monster Hunter 4 in Japan, so it should be interesting to see how that particular game impacts the company’s profits and how it sells relative to expectations.

Monster Hunter 4 is slated for release on September 14th. Capcom hope to sell 2.8 million copies of that game by the end of March 2014, and that shouldn’t be much of a problem at all, given the series’ popularity.

And hopefully they will pick up on the message.

Capcom on the future of Resident Evil:

"We have obviously seen the consumer response and the PR response," he said. "There was some great positives out of that, but it was a mixed bag, as we saw from the review scores. We have got to take that on-board, we can't ignore that, and we have to take that onto the next game when we make the next Resident Evil.

"With Resident Evil 6 specifically, we probably put too much content in there, there were comments from consumers that said it felt bloated. The Leon missions went down very well, and because we did Resident Evil Revelations on 3DS, there was a cry out for us to focus our attention on survival horror, rather than be too many things to all people. You’ll find where we go next will likely be more targeted at our core fanbase.

"A lot is said about the saturation of this zombie, post-apocalyptic survival horror. But it is still alive and well. The Last of Us shows a good direction of what the consumers want. Tomb Raider as well, we spoke to R&D and they looked at that and they enjoyed that experience. I think that proves there is still a strong market for that sort of content."

So, we will be able to climb rocks in later RE games? And we can discover tombs and stuff?
Can they make things right this time?

Hah i think they are talking about the survival aspects, but now that i think about it, a Resident Evil set up like Tomb Raider could be really cool. Stuck in a remote area, alone, theres Umbrella creations all over the place, you are trying to figure out what the hell is going on as well as escape the area. Could be pretty damn cool.

As long as there is no unwanted driving moments or the shoved down our throats partner, I'll take it
As soon as I see a partner I'm dropping this title

Im sure theres going to be something like that. Capcom has forgotten how to make a good RE game.

Revelations is pretty decent
Sure that one has a partner, at least not the kind you need to complete missions

I'm playing through Revelations right now, and I will say that the Jill segments are really a good combination of old RE and new RE. The pacing and design remind me a lot of older games, but it has the tight camera and solid controls from the newer series. The segement I played with Chris was sort of sucky, though. Wolves everywhere.

Everywhere.

You know You just described Code Veronica :whatever:

Just a shame it takes them releasing two relatively uninspiring games in a series capable of so much more for it to happen.

Ugh, Resident Evil 7? Just reboot the series and build it back up

So if they reboot, it's doubtful to add her?

And a fist fight with Nemesis?

I hope they show more with Barry, Rebecca, Carlos, and possibly Billy

I don't see the need to reboot if they are going to do the same thing with different characters.

I'll believe this ''return to the roots'' when I see it.
