It always cracked me up when you tried to run from Nemesis by running through a door and a few seconds later you'd hear the door knob opening and Nemesis is in the room. I always found it funny that a Powerhouse freak like Nemesis had the decency to close the door after entering and not just power through the damn thing.

LOL

Yeah his one thing that slows him down is doors.

Walls he will bash through but oh no not doors.... :woot:

>SIGH< I wish I was working for Capcom so that I could work on MY version of a Resident Evil game....Say...how about a wee contest? Best idea for an RE game?

Wee??? Do you mean Wii?

They are already making 2 games for it.

RE5 and RE Umbrella Chronicles.

"wee" as in Scottish (or Irish) for "small" man.

Oh I get it. Well my idea of the perfect game would be to wrap up all the loose ends of RE by having the main characters all meet up at some point and conclude the game with a Chris & Wesker fight.

Like what they are doing with MGS4...

I'd like a game which lays down the utter origin of the RE Zombies, Umbrella and so on. I actually had a colourful idea of a Gothic Zombie game taking place in WW1 Romania.

We could score ideas by the following:

-Story Originality
-Shock/Fear Factor
-Interest rating

Have you played RE0??? That spells out the story plain and simple buddy.

True but I was thinking something more....Supernatural. Somehow, RE kinda loses its scare factor because somehow you know that all that's happening is the result of Mad Science...or an accident.

Oh like a reboot.

Current story-
On December 4th 1978 Dr James Marcus, Captain Albert Wesker and Dr. William Birkin succeeded in creating a new virus by mixing the Progenitor virus with leech DNA.

New story
In 2007 Sandwraith coughs and starts a wide spread zombie infection lol. :woot:

That would be a little Shaun of the Dead really :)

My idea:

1917. Europe is at war. Hell has taken on a new form. It's called the trench and it has claimed the lives of many men, death by bullets, bayonets, fire and gas. Klaus Hartmann, is a combat engineer attached to 11th Sturmbattalione serving on the Eastern Front when a letter from German High Command sends him and his unit to a remote village deep in Romanian territory where contact has been lost with a German regiment led by Baron Hermann von Kleist.

Ambushed by an unseen enemy, Hartmann survives, only to find the village littered with dead Germans and Romanians. Now Hartmann must fight his way out of the beginning of the nightmare we all know as: Resident Evil.

The story can serve as an ultimate prequel, the quality of weapons can challenge the player and the "Hell within Hell" settings may appeal to players. The trench would really look good rendered in next gen graphics

Weapons:
- Luger P08 (Basic weapon)
-Gewehr 98 (with bayonet for special close combat)
-Mauser C96 (stopping power handgun)
-Nagant M1895 (Revolver)
-MP 18 (Machine pistol)
-STICK GRENADES!!!!!!!

Do not get me wrong it is a great idea...but the T-virus comes from working on the ebola virus which was found in Africa.

I like but I think the virus would need to be sent back in time some how that would not conflict with the story.

My "plan" was to create a believable use for the viruses that these guys created. It all had to start somewhere so I was thinking maybe some German general wanted to create sometime that would keep his men alive in the harshness of the trench so he heads to Romania with a Bacteriologist named Dr.Brand to some village where the people don't seem to get sick at don't age as much as normal people do.

You know, the road to Hell is paved with good intentions and all that so something goes horribly wrong (as usual) and now Klaus has to fight his way out of the village which is infected with this "proto-virus" while Von Kleist, now mad with the infection is planning on spreading the stuff throughout the Eastern Front under the guise of "small pox" vaccine. You can say this is where Ozwell and the other Umbrella guys get their idea for the virus.

Cool idea.

but we already have a believeable reason for the virus...it was supposed to be the weaponized version of Ebola, and it just sort of got out of hand...

I keep saying, the idea had to come from somewhere. Like how Biological Warfare evolved from tossing dead cows with catapults or using infected hospital bedsheets in the AngloFrench wars over Canada and Europe. The idea had to come from someplace, the inspiration that Umbrella needed to turn this accident into a weapon. This story could serve as the linchpin, the beginning of the Legacy...now all I need is someone who speaks German. Oh yeah, I'd make it as such where the only available language track is German and the cinematics have that Yellow or Black/White horror look...Though if I'd pitch this up to Capcom they'd change it to WW2 and make it a Nazi Experiment gone horribly wrong and the main character's an American....bleh.

Yep I said that before

The idea for biological warfare as you say goes back years...but the fact is the RE origin story is one of the stronger points on the story so far. You need to focus on the Umbrella fall and the future story arc.

Even though RE5 is out soon and RE Umbrella Chronicles will wrap up the umbrella fall think of future stories.

I wouldn't want it to end with five really. But fall of Umbrella? Didn't Krauser mention soemthing more about the "Return" of Umbrella?

Yes he did, and that was Wesker too. But that is another future story of where RE is going.

RE 4 simply states that Umbrella fell.....but we do not know how.

RE Umbrella Chronicles for the Wii will show us this story by going back to Billy and Rebbeca in RE0 and Chris and Jill in RE1 and the other games too.....like RE2&3 showing the police station etc....right up to - SPOILER

a secret new story area...the Euro HQ that is seen in RE CV

ITs a good idea wraith, but as its pointed out, the T-Virus already has an origin. And it makes perfect sense where the idea came from. To weaponize ebola. As for where that idea came from, we don't need an insane German general. The ideas of biological warfare can be traced as far back to medieval times.

Your idea is really cool and could make a very atmospheric, scary game...but it just doesn't really fit in RE continuity.

LOL

I think it's a good thing they didn't go that route. If they had it to where he was busting through doors constantly to get to you, more than likely I'd turn off the game and never play it again due to the fear. :yay:

It was bad enough that he'd appear out of nowhere to begin with.

>SIGH< I wish I was working for Capcom so that I could work on MY version of a Resident Evil game....Say...how about a wee contest? Best idea for an RE game?
Best...contest...EVAR! :woot:

*ahem*

Let's tie up the loose ends, eh?

Characters:

Christopher Redfield
Jill Valentine
Barry Burton
Claire Redfield-cameo at the beginning
Trent-Hey, UC's bringing in the Red Queen, so I figure why not bring in someone useful? He's the rallying point for the underground Umbrella resistance Chris joined after the mansion incident.

Settings in Order:

Safehouse
Umbrella Compound
Derelict Zeppelin
Unidentified European

Enemies:

Progenitor Zombies: They go through two stages. Stage 1 has them looking relatively normal, not too much decay, but sallow and emaciated. Think Lisa Trevor, without all the tentacles or that lovely mask of hers. Stage 2 sees them sprouting tentacles akin to Lisa, and gaining the speed and endurance of Crimson Heads.

Guard Wolves: Found in the forested path leading up to the Unidentified European Castle. They also roam the ruined areas of the castle, mostly the gardens and overgrown walks around the gardens. They bear resemblance to the huskies in John Carpenter's The Thing.

Chimera: Very much like the ones found in Resident Evil/REmake. The only essential difference is that they have more stamina and endurance.

Black Swarm: A strange entity that roams the ruins of the Unidentified European Castle, found around the laboratories. It is a sentient form of the Mother Virus, whose only enemy is a special type of weapon found deeper in the labs.

(I really need to think of some more. I'll get back with them, though those are the basics)

The Unidentified European Castle:

Imagine this castle, with but fallen into a state of ruination akin to the House of Usher. Near the castle is a small town. This is where the infamous Ozwell E. Spencer grew up. The townspeople lived in fear of his parents. They perceived science as being a form a witchcraft, and attacked the castle, killing his parents. Afterwards, Spencer took his research to the States. He returned and began plotting revenge against the townspeople. He unleashed the earliest form of the Progenitor Virus on the populace. He has not been seen ever since...

This is what I have right now. I'll be bahck with Chris, Jill, and Barry's plot points later. Enjoy.

I have a question for those that have extensively played Mercenaries on RE4:

On the castle level, what triggers that first Garrador that comes from bottom floor? Because when I play the castle level, sometimes he shows up and sometimes he doesn't.

Stealth Nemesis is a bad ass

New Umbrella Chronicles trailer.

Holy ****, it looks like Capcom's actually filling in the plotholes! :wow:

I really hope that guy with Albert at the end is Spencer...it just has to be!

Judging from these screenshots...

We can see that the M title was well earned. These are real screenshots, by the way. Funny how you can pause it and find the oddest things...
