Resident Evil 6

Why would he stay in Racoon City? If I was a wanted man, even if I was reported dead, the last place I would stay is the city a mile away from where I was reported to have died in. I would be out of the country as fast as I possibly could get there. Assuming he died in Racoon City is like assuming Chris did just because he didnt shot up again till Code Veronica. The guy could hold his own in a fight against zombies, even if he did stay in town.

It sucks that Luis died in RE4 bc he was probably my favorite character in that game. Would have been nice to play as him

I must have looked past the mention of Hunk in 5 where was it?.

Its in the "History of RESIDENT EVIL" file. Mentions when and i believe where he was trained. Its not like anyone mentions him in game, but it was still cool to see his name.

He could have easily bit it in the woods TRYING to get out of town. I just don't see him getting caught up in a bio hazard situation again. It'd be too much of a freak coincidence.

Yeah, the woods were a pretty dangerous place. There's a good chance some cerebus got their fangs into him...and if not, he is probably living in Panama or a country without extradition. Billy was a convict, not through manipulation or a frame job by Umbrella...but because he took part in the mission that killed 23 civilians. Billy's not going to get a pardon or reprieve, he is still a wanted man and probably a murderer. Which is kind of what I liked about Billy. But there is really no way to bring him back because of it.

Being a criminal, he could track Rebecca down (for help or otherwise)... Maybe he could become the next traitor/villain?

As I said, I like the idea of new characters who aren't hardened by this sort of thing like Leon was in RE4 and Chris was in RE5. I don't want BSAA members as the leads, but rather supporting. I want the "regular joe" in a **** storm situation like the first two games were. It makes it scarier.

If they are to bring back old characters as the leads, I want it to be Leon for sure and preferably Claire, as I love their relationship. But I want it to be Leon, because it is time to resolve his story line with Ada.

P.S. What is this talk about Sherry? I never played Code Veronica, but I always assumed Claire raised Sherry after RE2, because Claire seems to be the only one of the four who tried to have a normal life after 1998. But I keep seeing that "Umbrella got Sherry," comments. Did that happen in Code Veronica? Because if so, are we supposed to believe that Claire and Leon or at least someone didn't try and find her in the 10 and 1/2 years since Code Veronica took place? At this point she'd probably be Lisa all over again...I like to think that did not happen.

Leon (who Sherry was in the care of while Claire continued her search for Chris) was approached by someone claiming that they were from the government and would look after Sherry. Leon allowed her to go with these people, persumably so he could join in the fight Umbrella. Either this was a lie and the person worked for Wesker (which seems unlikely as the person also recruited Leon for the government which we know is legit) or Wesker, using a source within the government captured Sherry within three months of the Raccoon City incident (which was around the time that Wesker's report was authored). Her fate since then is unknown.

Also, its worth noting, since a lot of people are using Leon and BSAA interchangably to talk about the same organization, that Leon is NOT a member of the BSAA as far as we know. As of Resident Evil 4 Leon was a member of the United States Secret Service and as of Degeneration Leon was a special agent who answered strictly to the President of the United States (which means he is very well still in the Secret Service). The BSAA is a United Nations organization. So odds are Leon is not one of the original 11.

I'm really really hoping they don't use the ''Wesker Children" thing to bring in either a new body for Wesker or even a brother/sister as a new villain. That'd be a shark jumping moment for the series for sure.

Does anyone else want the scenario line-up back?

Maybe that could bring in multiple characters (co-op on both scenarios) and the ability to split up teams (Gears of War-esque), certain people could have strengths/weaknesses, etc.

Just an idea.

Thanks for clearing that up. Never knew that, huh. Oh well, if they don't resolve it poor Sherry. :(

Oh and I know Leon is in the Secret Service, not BSAA, but I was saying I don't want another game playing as BSAA operatives as they are trained for this ****. So is Leon, but he has an unresolved plot thread and is just so dang cool. But otherwise I am fine with "regular people" getting caught in the mix again.

Also, anyone here seen Resident Evil: Degeneration? I just watched it. I know it got bad reviews, but I enjoyed it simply to see Leon and Claire back together and a RE movie that didn't completely tarnish the franchise's reputation. Sure, Leon was a little too "stoic hero," especially after being such a smartass in RE4 and the movie itself wasn't very ambitious in terms of story or scope, but I enjoyed it.

If they go for the old-school scare vibe like they claim, Deadspace would be a great game to look at to see how to modernize it. And it's so hard to get this point across, because run n gun implies running, I'm fine with just walking slow, like Issac Clark can. And if the main enemies have the ability to run in 6, tear out all the programming that has them stop 5 ft away and starting dragging their feet. Eve if the zombies are true, Night/Dawn/Day of the Dead, Romero style, I'd still like to be able to walk and shoot. With scarce ammo, creepy environments, and massive numbers of undead, it'll still be creepy. And hopefully some version of the Regenerators come back, they're my favorite RE enemy.

God the Regenerators were so creepy. If you didn't know to unlock that scope before they showed up, you were pretty much boned. Those things were the one thing in RE4 that really scared me. While I was happy to see Lickers back in RE5, I missed the Regenerators.

I'm hoping with 6, Leon is the main protagonist and has either joined the BSAA or is sent to join the BSAA in a joint operation. I deff want the BSAA involved again as this situation has become much bigger than Raccoon City. You now have the T-Virus and Las Plagas virus being sold to terrorist, so i think a joint Secret Service/BSAA operation would kick ass.

I'd guess Rebecca is BSAA. Odds are they would need someone with a background in biology as a member, and since Chris and Jill were founding members, I'd guess they'd recruit Rebecca as that person. A Leon/Rebecca team up would be interesting. Though if Leon must have a partner, I really want it to be Claire.

Yea im almost certain 6 will continue the co-op from 5. A Leon/Rebecca team up would be cool, but like you, i want to see Leon/Claire.

In terms of other characters i wouldnt mind seeing/controlling would be some of the members from the BSAA like Josh. I actually thought Josh should have been Chris' African contact, but i did really like Sheva.

So I guess nobody likes the idea of bringing back the two scenarios, except both scenarios having co-op (two teams of two characters)?

Or maybe one team of two characters, and the co-op person goes with whoever the player decides to play as?

I'd like to see Resident Evil go back to the horror basics of a creepy atmosphere. In all honesty I thought people were exagerrating when they said it was too much action in RE 5.

After playing the game I found it fun and all, but it's the least scary of the games and the last two games became more action oriented instead of the creepy silent atmosphere and unpredictable enemy encounters.

Yea, I'm still not sure which i prefer. I mean i still say the orig Resident Evil is my favorite game, well the REmake anyway, but RE4 and RE5 were really, really fun, so I'm kind of stumped. I'm pretty sure i dont want it going back to the slower paced gameplay of the earlier titles but i would like to see more horror and more puzzles. Im positive Capcom can create a good median. One thing im certain of tho, is i want them appealing to the hardcore RE fan next go round. The controls need not change to appeal to fans of Gears of War or any other third person shooter.

I actually think that would be cool. Like have a total of say four or so characters, like a group from the BSAA or like organization.

I like the idea of having scenarios. They could certainly cover more story ground and make the game longer and more interesting. Mix Outbreak with RE5

I enjoyed Resident Evil 5 a whole lot, and I'm a huge fan of the series, but I don't think it can pull off another game with the over the shoulder view, it only scraped critical success with critics this time round afterall.

I'd LOVE to see a mix of characters in 6. Let's see Leon teaming up with Jill or Chris for example. and most importantly, although it'll be nigh impossible, I want
Wesker to be alive. He's a 10 year old villain now, and a great one at that. He built up such an incredible "What's he up to?" feeling from RE4 and Umbrella Chronicles that I didn't want to see him go at the end of 5.

Anyway, like I said, 5 was fantastic. Not as good as 4, mind you, but still damn incredible.

My dream situation for 6? Groud zero, re-visting the destroyed Racoon City and Spencer mansion.

yeah I'd like to see different characters coming together, gives the RE universe some cohesiveness. I don't know about revisiting the racoon site though.....I would like to see maybe Umbrella rising from the dead and coming back as a major force. I enjoyed RE5 more than RE4 because RE5 was dealing with the Umbrella and Tricell stuff, RE4 just felt like a game that coincidently had an RE character in it. Even if the game was made without the RE title on it, it still would have played the same if that makes any sense. RE5 felt more like an RE game to me than 4 did.

I know what you mean, its almost as if 4 was a bridge the gap story than anything, just filling in details for 5. I think it was the better game though, it kept the atmosphere a thousand times over 5, and was truly fresh. 5's inconsistencies with ally AI killed it for me a little, but that's only because I should have played it through co-op.
