Anyone here freak out when the giant Doc Salvador appeared in Water World?

The ones that really freaked me out at first were the low level cloak dudes.

Their chants and mumbles got me on edge.

So whats Leons strategy? It's funny that it is his game, but he sucks the most in Mercenaries. Krauser and Wesker pwn everything, and Hunk and Ada arewn't too shabby either, but Leon has crap weapons. They should have AT LEAST given him the Striker.

Well, that's the thing. Leon is the first guy you get, so you'd expect that in getting good scores in the more difficult stages that you get to use more versatile or fun characters (even if you don't use just Leon to unlock the rest). If you can play well with Leon, you can play even better with the others (more or less).

Oh sure, at least for the first dozen times before you can actually figure out where they spawn depending on your start point. Once you know where and when they spawn, you can "strategize" against them. They're hardest to kill with Leon, no doubt. He rarely gets grenades and only close shots to the head with the shotgun will stun them, which is hard to do when they're moving from side to side.

I never got Leon or Hunk all the stars, ca'nt remember about Ada though. With Hunk I'm just gonna snap necks the whole damn time, Snake style. I probably won't even use the handgun much when I think about it.

Yeah, but remember, Hunk can't snap heads of the Garradors, J.J.'s, or Super Salvadors.

MEGA KILL!!! I personally thought Krauser was the most fun to play, cuz his arm pwned all. And his kicks almost always worked. Wesker would have to be my second fav.

You know in RE Code Veronica extra games Wesker was the hardset player to pic. He has a knife that is it....!

There are a couple of knife and handgun runs for RE4 on Youtube. Pretty damn impressive: killing the chainsaw ganados and almost all of the bosses with just a knife.

I didn't know that Krauser had another one-hit kill.

Like, for the Bella sisters. If you cut them once with your knife down at their legs, you can initiate a kick that will kill them instantly...I don't even think Wesker's arm thrust attack can do that to them.

More like patient players. Dr. Salvador is easy with a knife, as well as the El Gigantes. Mendez is a ***** with just the knife though. I'm doing a no merchant run and I'm at the part where you use the cannon to blow up the door. The part right after where Sera leaves to get the pills he dropped is also annoying. I HATE SHIELD MONKS. Damn them all to hell.

Indeed....the dam sheilds...who would of thought that a bit of wood would drasticly stop a ton of bullets!

Indeed. Not using the merchant actually makes the game traditional RE scary. You don't ever have all that much in the way of ammo, especially cuz the game has some nonrandom ammo drops that aren't for the three weapons you get. The third one is the broken butterfly, which is somewhere in the maze. Does anyone know the exact location?

Remember, you don't get the Broken Butterfly until Chapter 4-1 after you have Ashley with you. It's in an area south of the maze and you need Ashley to piggyback to unlock one of the doors.

Yes in fact that is one thing I liked about RE4 the story kept moving forward you would only ever have to return to old areas maybe once every few hours to pick up extras.

Well, I finally got my Resident Evil Anniversary action figures today, along with my RE4 Krauser figure. They are quite awesome indeed. I just hope my Dr. Salvador figure comes soon, I've been waiting a long freaking time for that one!

You know you've played RE4 too long when you notice the jaggies on Leon's gun when he's just walking. And when you notice the black outline of all the characters. Good think FF saved me, otherwise I'd be on my millionth playthrough right now.
