Finally some details about that CG RE movie. This looks good

Resident Evil fans know how bad the RE movies are. Hopefully Resident Evil: Degeneration -- the CG movie featuring a seven-year Claire and Leon reunion -- will pick up the pieces and make everything good again. It won't be too long before we find out the answer to that as the Sony Pictures film is set to hit stores this winter.

If you're just dying to know more about this direct-to-Blu-ray film release, Blu-ray.com scored some skin-crawling details regarding the zombie flick. Video will be presented in "1.78:1 1080p AVC" which is complemented by a "5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack." With specs like that, stepping into the world of survival horror won't ever be the same. In addition to that info, a full list of Blu-ray Extras can be found after the break.

I would rather pay to rewatch all of the cutscenes from the past games than pay to wath the last 3 Resident Evil films. Hell this movie could have been nothing but 2D drawings on white notebook paper and itd still be better than the trash that we got from Hollywood.

Comes out Dec 30th i think, and id imagine it takes place sometime after RE4, but im not 100% on either

Yeah, I loved the opening, but at this point sercret service dudes should know about HEAD SHOTS being the only way to put down a zombie, and the factr that that security guy was going to come back to unlife right near his leg, give me a ****ing break. Im glad that the movie will be about Claire and Leon and its a good thing that it will instead of 2 new random RE characters. Im gonna get this on BR when its released over here. Id love it if they included the Japanese voices, but they most likely wont

Pretty much, cuz he sure as hell isnt gonna make an effort to "reach across the isle"


Im hoping this does well tho, cuz id like to see possible a major motion picture in this style, god know itll be better than the Paul Anderson garbage.

Tell me about it. I try not to think of those horrendous RE movies. I hoep this does do well and other game companies consider taking this route insted of the usual crappy live action stuff that usually ends up sucking

Damn I'm definetly looking forward to this CG movie. Truth be told I liked the Live action movies. I don't consider them part of the game reality you know, I consider them to just be seperate RE action!

I wouldn't have had a problem to accept the first Movie as some kind of side story. Or as a prequel, events that went down even before the first game, but I simply can't accept the last 2 movies. With Super Alice and later her Telekinetic showdown with a Tyrant... so lame.

I thought they were all equally an abomination to the Resident Evil name. Alice was lame and had no business being in the movie. Like someone else said, what made Resident Evil so great was the fact that it had, more or less, a normal character(s) trying to survive a very abnormal situation. Alice was anything but.

Yeah all the damned super powers she had were kinda lame as far a story telling device. I would have preferred it be more along the lines of the games, people vs BOW's. Give the films a greater human element and IMO enhance the terror. Besides which we never got super powers in the games.....I mean wtf? I wanna smash the Tyrant with my brain but nooooo I had to do it with a shotgun. Alice is a damned cheater!
