How are you using a 360 controller? Are you playing it on the PC?With RE5 coming next month, Im finally playing through RE4. At first it felt weird using a 360 controller but Im getting used to it. Im onto Ch 2.3 now. So far good game
yeah, I have the PC version. I wanted to use my PS3 controller, but unfortunetly cant. The analog stick on the 360 doesnt feel quite right and the trigger buttons cant be used which bothered me at first bc I wanted to use those for attacking. I have to use the bumpers which I dont like, but its better than trying to play with mouse/keyboardHow are you using a 360 controller? Are you playing it on the PC?

Thanks. I already put in some mods for it.
Its not a bad port. Some games, simply arent made to be played with a mouse/keyboard. This is one of them. Gamepad all the way. The 360 isnt the best for this, but its adequate enough and supported so Im fine with it.

Well the GC controller, which the game was originally made, for had even less buttons than the 360. All the functions are available. My main issue is that you cant map the LT and RT to anything and Im so used to using those buttons for attacks in shooters when using this controller, so its a bit of an adjustment having to use the LB and RB instead. I have no idea things are with RE5, but considering the game is being made for the 360, Im sure Capcom has optimized the control for it.I thought the 360 controller works GREAT with RE5, but you said some functions arent available with the controller on RE4 right?
I'll have to disagree bc the game plays great as long as you have a gamepad. Im not having any major issues with it and its MUCH better than some of the older games, as you mentioned. DMC3 was the worst. They had the right analog stick mapped to movement and there was no way to change it. Made it completely unplayableIt is, even the default keyboard mapping is cumbersome. it could be made to work extreamly well with a mouse and keyboard like other third person shooters such as Splinter Cell, Dead Space and Gears Of War. It's very much a lazy port like a few of Capcoms older pc games.
Yeah the end boss on RE4 wasn't all the bad. I had to finally stop playing RE4. I literally unlocked EVERYTHING. The chicago typewriter was so frikkin awesomeFinally beat Res Evil 4 a few minutes ago. That end boss was pretty easy. Probably easier than any final boss from the series

Oh yeah. Nothing like unleashing a hail of bullets on El Gigante's head. Muy funTypewriter was definitely my favorite weapon in tge game. Combine it with the gangster costume and instant fun was to be had.![]()
I still need to go and start up Ada's scenario. I cant beleive Capcom left so many unanswered questions about her in the original release. Hopefully this will shed more light on why she was actually in the game and her motives.
Also surprised by the lack of Wesker. I thought he was going to be showing up in the end considering we do know that he and Ada were connected
really? where? Does he show up in Ada's scenario or did I miss/forget him in the main game?Oh he's in there alright.![]()

"During a Q&A segment at the Resident Evil 5 Wondercon panel, Capcom was asked by an enthusiastic fan about a possible Resident Evil 2 remake.
Mike Webster of Capcom decided to responded to the answer. He said, "Stay tuned, we absolutely understand that these are classic games," and added, "Some announcements, [are on the way] that you will be very interested in.""

thanks! Im playing it now and seeing WeskerYea he shows up in Ada's scenario. Its like an alt/extended ending to the main game.

Hmm, wonder what that means?
Wii. I will be surprised if it doesnt end up there. Capcom can get away with not pushing great graphics with it on that system. Throw in motion controls and you got a typical Wii game. I thinkk Capcom is focused on supporting RE5 for the 360/PS3 and if a 2 remake is done, it will most likely be a side project to throw at the Wii crowd since they wont be getting RE5It's pretty obvious that Resident Evil 2 will end up getting remade. Now I think the question is what system will it appear on.
