Huh? Really. If anyone is still having this discussion (I came in real late ) I never thought he was teleporting until I came to this thread. In fact, he just alway seemed to be moving really fast and it reminded me (a little too much) of the Matrix when Neo is dodging bullets. Later on we see Jill does the same thing, but it is clearly just her moving fast under that drug and later in this game you can see it is speed when you overinject him to slow him down. I did not play mercenaries enough to unlock him, but I understand he has a super-fast sprint in that, but no teleportation. I didn't know people could think that.

Well, there's no point in really going over this again, I think those of us who say otherwise have made our case and if you don't agree well then you don't.

Just started playing RE for the Gamecube. Never have. I beat it 8x on the psOne but never for Nintendo.

Keep playing it. I just finished it myself, and as I posted it is one of the greatest and most satisfying games of the last generation. I love that game more than the original

Capcom released a benchmark for the pc, runs great.
Seems like a pretty good port, unlike Resident Evil 4.

Big changes could be on the way for the Resident Evil series, both in terms of direction and personnel, if comments from Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi are any indication.

Speaking at a Resident Evil panel at Comic-Con, Takeuchi was asked by a fan about the possibility of a total series reboot for the next main game. His response? A little...different.

Seems Takeuchi and fellow RE veteran Masachika Kawata are playing blackjack to see who will end up producing the next Resident Evil game. For real. But they're not playing alone, because Takeuchi followed that up by saying "it doesn't appear as though either of us is going to be in charge" of the next game.

Read that and thought I would go ahead and post it. They've already said that RE6 will be the start of a new saga in the RE storyline with potentially a brand new set of characters, and it looks like now it may potentially have a brand new production team behind it as well

God i hate those movies, so, so much.

They are going to reboot the series after this 4th one tho, they say they are going to stay closer to the game in terms of plot and feel. I sure as hell hope so.

I like the movies. My only problem is how Alice had those psychic powers, but i mean just look at the CGI Resident Evil movie for example. It had kung fu action and whatnot againts Zombies and tyrants. Leo was pimpin almost as gary sue as Alice is lol.

If I remember correctly, it'll more or less still have a lot of the same people behind it (Anderson will be a producer, instead of the director), but the general team will be basically the same. So, unless I'm misremembering, probably tells you what to expect

Degeneration was a s**t ton better than the last 3 pathetic films.

Well, its not that damn hard to do the movie right, just follow the effing story from the game. Thats a primary reason the last 3 have sucked so damn hard.

One word. Alice. Why the eff did they even put that dumb ass character in the game? Why havent we seen Chris and Jill team up? How about Leon and Claire? Ada Wong? A proper Albert Wesker? Saying the movies stays true to the game is asinine. You cant like those films and be a fan of the game series. The films spit all over the games.

Maybe they we're afraid to anger the fans with the depiction of Jill or Chris? They had Jill in 2, and she was quite the ***** in it. 4th movie will have Chris (more like his RE5 appearance) so yeah. You can't please everyone.

i don't know what i think of a reboot of the story, i do feel they have kind of run it into the ground, but after playing through 1,2 & 3 on the gamecube again i would love to go back whole zombie thing again rather than the parasite route.

it will take something major to give the series a kick in the ass, though i must admit i'm loving the light gun games on the wii

I actually thought the first was alright. Not good or anything, pretty mediocre overall, but I felt it showed some kind of potential. Honestly, I would probably put it on the same level as Degeneration. I mean once you get past the nostalgia of old RE, it's a pretty mediocre movie.

Though, with the second movie, it was like they saw that potential...and told it to get the **** out. Like, kicked it right out the door and threw stones at it. I didn't even bother with the third one, because it looked just as bad.

Though, truthfully, I've stopped being surprised when these crappy movies keep making money. I'm just not anymore. I use to watch in shock and ask, 'Oh, God, WHY!', but now I sit back and accept that love died.

Yea, deff. Ya have a great overall franchise being raped by Hollywood. Happens too often. Id like to see a good RE film, but because idiots keep seeing these "films", its unlikely that'll ever happen.

If you see it as a rape it doesn't mean everyone does. Look you're awfully upset about this franchise, but it seems to me it would be more acceptable if it had more Nostalgia characters to please your nostalgia dreams really. No offense honestly even tho this comes off bluntly, but it really does seem you just hate the franchise because it doesn't show Chris/Leo/Jill/Claire but the protagonist is a newly created character.

Sure we can argue also whenever or not the movies are scary, but then again are the games? Yeah the atmosphere can be scary, but once you become a pro gamer and know all the tricks and whatnot jazz, it doesn't remain that scary in the end, don't you agree? Not to mention Leo and Chris have done almost as much cheesy kung fu action againts zombies and whatnot as much as Alice.

Well I think the movies lack the substantial story of the game. I think what the first movie had right was that there was a lab filled with zombies inside a mansion, although nothing from the actual mansion played a role in that film as opposed to the game. Adding just that element, a creepy looking old mansion would have given it a higher notch on the scary tone. There were no characters from the game not even a S.T.A.R.S. team (if I remember correctly) and they came to lock down the hive, whereas in the game the Alpha team came to investigate the disappearance of the Bravo team.

The point is, the first movie had much more different elements to it from the real story. So I'd say it was "raped" on that aspect.

I will say I do like the movies to an extent though. They're good zombie/action movies, but terrible RE movies. I can set aside that it's a poor RE movie and just enjoy them for what they are. But like just about every RE fan, I'd love to see a movie more similar to the game. Spot on preferred of course.
