I can see Xavier Dolan being fun as a younger Riddler. An up-and-coming villain trying and failing to cut it with the older guys like Penguin, maybe, but who nevertheless acts like he’s better than everyone else. He ends up biting more than he can chew by trying to take on Batman directly and lets out an important clue in the process.
Besides Cynthia Erivo’s singing, I thought his cameo in Bad Times at the El Royale was the only other note-worthy thing in the movie. I wouldn’t mind the accent either, but I know some of you take issue with that sort of thing.
Now, now, there's nothing wrong with a Riddler with some extra meat on his bones. It's just more to love. Well, I guess more to hate would be more appropriate.
