Robin tries to free children taken hostage, when Dodge shows up to "help". Dodge has a mentions a few salient points about what right the Batclan think they have to stop other new heroes in Gotham, and since Robin wouldn't help train him, he feels that he still wants to be a hero anyway.

Eventually, the kids are freed. But in stopping the final crook, Robin throws some makeshift missiles at him, and Dodge teleports into the path accidentally and one of the missiles hits his belt. Which turns out gives Dodge his teleporting powers and which he stole from his father's lab. The belt is damaged in the final fracas, and then Dodge ends up in what seems to be some sort of coma surrounded by an impenetrable energy shell of his teleporting ability.

The issue ends with the children returned, but also Robin feeling incredibly guilty about what happened to Dodge.

I missed out on most of the OYL storyline in Robin. And I know how horribly bad Nightwing OYL was.

So, how well does the Robin comic compare to the Nightwing comic at this time?

Robin OYL is like 10 times better than Nightwing OYL. Robin is a good read each and every month...and if you're not a fan of Batgirl or dislike Batgirl it will make your enjoyment of Beechen's run much better as well.

Hilariously wrong.

Oh no, like 97% of comics printed in the last year were better than Nightwing's first 8 (?) OYL issues. :o

Still, Wolfman's issue > pretty much everything.

why doesn't Tim Drake just come out of the closet already, i mean he obvioulsy was in love with Conner. Im serous to, it was like they were going somehwere with it, and then they decided to drop it. I dun care how good of friends you are, if a guy trys 99 times to reclone his dead male friend, then somethings up.

No, if you don't understand basic consistency in characterization, you'll like it.

I like the art, happy that Williams II got an exclu. Beechen needs o go though.

I myself really don't care for it, but it's 100x better than Jones' Nightwing

So in other words, its ok if characters are written horribly out of character, if you dont like them.

What was the peak run on Robin (Tim Drake)? I'm looking for some good trades to pick up.

Get the first couple of trades, thats all gold.

Anything Dixon wrote is good. I liked Willingham's run, but it wasn't really stellar. Oddly, Robin tends to shine a lot more in the Bat-crossovers than in his own comic. Prodigy, Contagion, and No Man's Land had some good Robin moments throughout, for example.

Okay, read the issue(155). Tim is kool, and I so see dodge coming back as a villian which kinda sucks.
