Wolverine is not the same type of movie. It's a comic book super hero movie.

:whatever:

And obviously I think more highly of those than you do since I think they can be A LOT MORE than what your idols at 20th Century Fox make them to be.

rightttttt.

that's why Heath Ledger won the oscar for playing a very ANTI source material character.

I'm done talking to you.

Danoyse why is it so hard for you to answer a question?

You moderate a Wolverine board where arguments are bound to take place and all you do is break them up.

Instead of just telling me to stop calling Vile One close-minded, why don't you say your own piece on the matter?

being a moderator doesn't prevent you from having an opinion.

Why is it so hard for you to understand the answer?

As a mod I am here to make sure everyone follows the rules of this forum and treats their fellow posters respectfully, regardless of whether or not I agree with their viewpoints.

We do not allow bickering that descends into unfair assumptions and name-calling. Disagree all you want, but keep the conversation civil.

That's all we ask.

Well said.

To break the ice:

Do you think they really put Storm's cameo back in, as a Site reported a few months back?

Moving on, people!

Hey, do you think they really put Storm's cameo back in, as that Site reported a few months back?

I hope so. That was a great shot in the teaser. But I haven't seen it since that first teaser, so I wouldn't be surprised if it winds up being cut. :csad:

Yeah, I also hope they put it back. Otherwise, what would the reason be to Team X go to South Africa?

I swear, I really don't want that scene to be deleted. There is nothing more irritating for me is the pointless deletion of scenes in the X-Films just so Fox can advertise all the new bonus material or whatever when the DVD comes out. Even if we get to see them on DVD that isn't at all like watching it incorporated into the film on the big screen.

I agree with you, especially when in the X-Men franchise, there are so many GREAT deleted scenes, particularly from X-Men and X-Men: The Last Stand.

X-Men:

-Cyclops stating to Xavier "He won't follow orders" (re: Wolverine) and Xavier replying "Give him an order worth following, he'll accept it"

-Storm and Rogue discussing her running after class. Rogue inquires about a cure, Storm states "That's not how it works"

-Extended scene between Cyclops and Logan in his bedroom which further establishes Cyclops as a leader.

-Additional scenes between Iceman and Rogue, building upon their relationship.

X-Men: The Last Stand:

-Alternate version of Iceman and Wolverine in the subbasement.

-Storm summoning a wave on Alcatraz.

-Rogue NOT taking the cure.

-Alternate versions of Trask talking to the President; "You're talking about declaring war on American soil"; "Well then you know what needs to be done".

I'd like to see those scenes. :csad:

I don't remember that scene.

The deleted scenes for X-men 3 were nothing special and wouldn't have added much to the movie at all.

The thing with Rogue was only an alternate version of a scene that was already in the movie. Except the outcome in the movie was ******** with Rogue taking the fake cure.

I disagree. The alternate version of Iceman with Wolverine and the alternate ending of Rogue were both more effective then the theaterical version. And Storm's wave wouldn't have added much but it was a waste of time to take it out as it cost money to make and it would have looked cool on the big screen. But Fox needs it's short run times as well as it's DVD bonus footage.

I remember parts of that deleted scene in the tv spots, with Wolverine saying to the group & Iceman, "She might not come home, you ready for that?" during the montage of clips.

Yeah.

I remember that the first time i saw the Trailer, I tough Wolverine was lecturing Bobby because he pushed Rogue away from the group. :hehe:

When I saw that deleted scene and compared it to the one used in the film I was thinking to myself like, "Dude, did they even know what kind of movie they wanted to make? What film shoots complete opposite versions of scenes and then plays mix & match once it's all done with. It's just weird.

And speaking of DVD bonus footage, let's hope they avoid a situation like with X3 where some DVDs have 6 deleted scenes and others have 20. That was ridiculous last time.

"Well then, you know what needs to be done" is one of the first shots in the trailer. In the movie, it was changed to "You know I agree, sir", when the President tells Trask that Magneto needs to be stopped, following the attack on the cure center.

"You're talking about declaring war on American soil" is from one of the TV spots.

I don't see why they didn't use that, it's not like the war in Iraq had just started or anything.
