i don't really see why him being green lantern would even efect his filming schedule of deadpool if GL is already further along, production wise. I think he could start filming deadpool as soon as he's done w/ GL, but that's only IF the script is done by the time GL is done being filmed.

Exactly.

I mean, him taking another gig makes more sense than him sitting around with his thumb up his ass.

GL shooting probably finishes mid to late 2010. That's enough time for the DP script to be done I think.

Then he can jump into shooting Deadpool at the start of 2011 or whatever. For a winter 2011 release (highly unlikely) or a spring 2012 release (more likely)

Deadpool was never gonna be a mid summer blockbuster. And it shouldn't be.

Maybe a release around March like Watchmen would be good for Deadpool. You're definately right in saying that it's not a summer blockbuster. It really isn't.

For a March movie to happen production will basically have to start in the beginning of 2011 with filming in the summer and about 4-6 months post production. But if he signs onto other projects, like these cheap comedy/romantic films he's been doing the past few years it only gives him a year in between to film those movies. So it just depends on what else he signs onto the next few months. Obviously a lot of studios are going to be interested in his services.

I think we'll see him doing those sorta movies less and less these days though.

And BTW Deadpool has been confirmed to be showing up in the second second season of Wolverine and the X Men.

Very cool. I wonder who they'll cast as Deadpool. I hope it's Nolan North (the guy who did DP's voice in Hulk Vs.). That would be sweet.

North is better, but as long has deadpool is in a game I could care less who does his voice.

The Blade movies aren't in the same world as the X-Men movies. Chances are any new DC movies (besides maybe Batman) after GL will be in the same world.

The original point of contest was Ryan playing two characters from separate universes. Even if the world depicted in Blade IS different from the one in X-Men, they're still tied to the same Marvel umbrella.

If he can play two characters based out of the same universe, I don't see what the problem is with him playing two characters in unrelated universes.

It doesn't matter if more DC movies are all in the same world. They're not in the same world as the Marvel movies. So they will never be an issue.

Yea I don't think it's a issue.

They are two completely different characters in different universes.

I really hope FOX isn't stupid enough to carry on without Ryan Reynolds, that's the one thing I worry about. I'd rather wait for RR to return than for them to move on with a different actor. Even if that takes a long time.

Maybe in the next month or two RR will comment on the status of Deadpool or something. :woot:

I think it's fine he's going to be Hal Jordan. After watching the new animated movie of GL, I could really see him playing Hal.

Time will tell about all this I guess. I'll just be optimistic about the DP Film. :woot:

No, I meant if he wants to play another DC character it won't happen because chances are that there will be a cross-over (JL please) with Lantern & that character meeting.

if fox does that i'm gonna have to boycott them for the rest of my life. i don't care how good there movies get.

well, maybe just until rothman leaves, but fox is really on thin ice w/ me.(but i liked X-MO:W tho:whatever:)

I thought Ryan Reynolds would have been at Comic-Con to talk about getting the part of Green Lantern and all that jazz. I was really disappointed with G4's coverage, they made it seem like their was going to be major announcements on Green Lantern, Thor, Iron Man II, but they really didn't talk about it that much, I don't even remember them mentioning Thor... Anyways I guess that's a little off topic.

Has Jackman said he would want to make a guest appearance in the Deadpool film? I think it'd be cool to see them get into a fight. I'd imagine not, but yeah.

Ryan wasn't able to make it because he's shooting in Barcelona. Or at least he was shooting in Barcelona when CC was happening. I would have loved if he was there and we got some interviews regarding Deadpool/Green Lantern, but it was impossible.

Fox should wait until Green Lantern is a hit. Trust me, if you get RR in another hero role post GL (if its good) then a DP movie will be a hit.

Yeah, that'd make sense. In the meantime they can make Wolverine 2 or First Class or whatever the hell they want to f*** up.

Maybe it'd give us more time for Fox & Marvel to make a deal like Marvel did with Universal.
