We need to make a poll listing fan favorite comic characters that got completely dumped on in their movie versions. My starting list...

4. Deadpool (XMO) - Hey, at least they got him right in the first half.
3. Juggernaught (XM3) - Huh? When did he become a mutant?
2. Venom (SP3) - This came close to taking the top spot. That 70s show guy as Eddie Brock? Wanting to team up with another baddie? Miniscule screen time, etc.

And my #1 all time.
1. Bane (BM3) - Make a complicated villian who broke Batman's back into an evil grunting henchman.
agreed. Sad part is, Venom and Juggernaut are two of my favorite characters and they both got boned in the ass in their film versions

Actor Ryan Reynolds is looking for someone to attend the red carpet premiere of his new movie and help a good cause.

Reynolds is auctioning off tickets to the premiere of his film 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' -- with proceeds benefiting the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. In the movie, Reynolds plays Deadpool alongside Hugh Jackman, who is Wolverine.

On Tuesday, April 28th, at the Mann's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, a lucky bidder will have the opportunity to attend the premiere and sit near Reynolds.

"I am proud to be a part of this team of dedicated and motivated people who are getting out there and making a difference," the actor said of the charity. "The Michael J. Fox Foundation is doing whatever it takes to improve patients' quality of life and deliver a cure to people living with PD, like my father."

Maybe they should call the spin-off ..Bad man with the Katanas...

I'd watch it.

Well all the people I've spoken to about the film were asking me about "The bad man with the katanas".

Of course they'd ask you about him because they probably know you and you talked their ears off about Deadpool in the Wolverine movie. They'd ask you about the cute guy with the pink powers if they knew you were a Gambit fan. :)

:hehe: Well, na. None of my mates read comics anymore, so I tell em about the big comic book films that are coming out. I didn't talk there ears off about Deadpool before hand, they watched the leak and then specifically asked me about "the bad man with the katanas" :D

Those sneaky bastards.

"Buy these tickets, or you're a *****e!"

I like Ryan, but i'll just make my own Deadpool movie if thats the case. Fox will never ever get my money as long as Rothman's in charge.

I've never seen either of the cranks...but...I'm curious...why do people like them? They look stupid.

People can't like stupid action films? Not all films have to require you to put your thinking cap on, some films are there just to be watched, not analyzed or whatever.

And they ain't really stupid, they are pretty fresh and original, as far as action movies go.

Why are they not that stupid, and why are they fresh and original?

Bingo. Since when did it start to become a crime to watch movies just to have fun?

Well... uhm... in the first one he has sex with his girlfriend in public in front of a ton of Asian school girls cheering him on?

I call that cinematic genius.

Yea, there is too much of this "Ohh it was brainless and didn't say anything about society" going on these days.

Guys, I've never seen them, I'm just curious. I never said you can't like over the top action movies...I like plenty. But...from what I've seen, they look ******ed...and I'm just wondering why are they so liked?

And I don't understand what's so great about having a sex scene in public?

The flicks are good fun. Its basically Grand Theft Auto the movie.

Dude, just watch it.

I can't really put into words what makes the Crank films good, they are just insane, over the top action films.

And that sex scene in public? Seriously, you just have to watch it, it is hilariously brilliant.

I just realized, I was acting a bit of a prick there, sorry man. Just in a bad mood. :D

But yea, try and check them out, you'd be surprised at how good they are. I wasn't interested in them and then I watched the first one round my friends house and I thought it was brilliant.

The films don't take themselves seriously, they are mad just to be fun.

man, what isnt great about a sex scene in public? a sex scene in public with amy smart no less?

ive never seen the crank movies, probably because i have a grudge against jason statham (stupid reason i know) but yeah, sometimes you just have to turn your intellectual brain off and just enjoy simple entertainment, like transformers or wanted, which i liked even though ive never read one of the comics.

That'd be my list but add BF Two-Face at number five. He kept flipping the coin until he got what he wanted.... WHAT'S THE POINT OF THE COIN!!!?? Plus he wasn't played by Billy Dee. What a waste of what could of possibly been the coolest villain ever. Hell, what a waste of a good movie.
