The Sarah Connor Chronicles

i can't remember it, for some reason i was getting the feeling he didn't know.

You would kinda think Derek would be around more often, especially with cameron starting to **** up again. Meh

this weeks episode was better, but this is what, the 4th episode in a row devoted to character development... with no action. (human vs human battles don't really count in this show IMO)

Well, it's a fine line the writers walk-- I remember earlier in the season, a lot of people were complaining that the show was turning into "Terminator of the week" and that the metal body count was getting implausibly high. I do somewhat miss having the threat of Cromartie constantly looming over the Connors, but we've still got Catherine Weaver and John Henry around, and with only a few episodes left I'm sure that we're in for some nice Terminator peril.

It's funny how this thread went from "What a crapfest this show is gonna be" to wow, this is an awesome show.

hahaha yeah. lol. Has anyone checked out that link I posted earlier? I think its quite interesting in a way and makes sense, to me.

The thing I like about this show is the story between mother and son and how strong of a bond they have for each other. When you think about what they're going through each and every day, despite the obstacles they have to work their way around, the two of them are all they have for each other. Sarah's love for her son is what keeps her going no matter what happens to her, to him and to both. She would do anything to make sure he's safe and protected and I'm sure she would go to the extent of killing herself to defend John right to the very end. But at least live long enough to see that her son is safe.

I'm always drawn to those kind of stories and its emotional aspects. How far would you go to protect the ones you love?

I read it and it did in fact make me see that episode in a whole new light, but I still think at this point in the development of the series that's not the kind of episodes we need to ensure the survival of T:SCC.

Interesting how this happened as soon as they stopped with the nonsensical idiocy... and returned to the actual plot.

this makes me agree that tv seasons should be shorter... so that the writers don't have to pan out the story with idiotic tangents to fill the episode order.

I hope Sarah's the one who kills Jesse. A one on one fight between those two would surely be a show highlight. My beats on Sarah!

I also hope than Sarah finds out that Derek has been keeping Jesse/and her alleged mission a secret.

I'm also hoping for a fight between Shirley-nator and Cameron. Correct me if i'm wrong, but when John was examining Cameron's damaged hand, did he say "Your not made for fighting"........?

YES! Riley is Dead!

I'm so happy, now Jesse is next. :D

i hated riley.

i'm wondering is this in continuity with the movies and the new one?

Nope, there's no attachment to the new films. TSCC is in its own continuity. The only attachment to film continuity it has are T1 and T2.

Updated Friday Ratings: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles crashes down

Posted on 07 March 2009 by Robert Seidman
Scoreboard Total Viewers (million) 10.3 6.7 4.2 3.3 1.8 Rating/Share: Adults 18-49 2.3/7
James Hibberd reports that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles dropped to 3.0 million viewers and a 1.0/4 (rating/share) in the 18-49 demographic. Despite whipping the fandoms into a frenzy earlier this week when he gushed over TSCC’s DVR numbers, Hibberd is now pronouncing TSCC dead himself.
Dollhouse dropped yet again as well, last night it drew 3.5 million and a 1.5/5. Only a miracle is going to save Dollhouse, but a slightly lesser miracle is necessary than with TSCC, as Dollhouse’s 18-49 numbers are 50% better than TSCC’s.
I’ll update this post with all the Friday night broadcast shows when I see the data. (update: I’ve updated with some of the additional data below).
Full details:
coming soon, sooner or later (looks like later, but have posted an incomplete table below):
Time Net Show Viewers (Millons) 18-49 Rating/Share 8:00 CBS Ghost Whisperer 11.1 2.6/9
ABC Wife Swap 4.2 1.3/5

NBC Friday Night Lights 3.8 1.2/4

Shows are sorted by viewers in each time slot.

Fox are a bunch of idiots. They toss TSCC on a Friday; a day that's known to be a dead spot, and then pronounce it dead as if they didn't know this was gonna happen...?

I hope that Jesse's mission is actually to split John from Sarah. They keep talking about 'her' and they seem to be refering to CamRon, but I have this feeling that Jesse is trying to get John away from Sarah. There has to be some sort of twist to that plot line.

Yeah, F FOX!

Well unfortunately, most people don't like watching TV on Fridays. Historically, Friday has been a poor time to run TV shows because the only people watching are the ones with nothing better to do. Most people are at the movies, dating, or hanging out with friends on Friday nights. No-one has time to watch TV that night, which is why it's where TV shows are sent to die. The DVR and online numbers for TSCC are going to have to be REALLY strong if we want to save the show. The Nielsons are more or less a broken system nowadays, anyway.
