The Scarecrow

I've noticed in a few panels and a future Spiderman comic cover has Scarecrow in them.

Now, last I saw of Scarecrow, he was stuck in hell after failing to do Blackheart's dirty work and eliminate Ghost Rider using Ketch's own sister's corpse and a tool of possession (which was a pretty pathetic story anyway, since it was never really discussed how he died, unless that happened in a Captain America storyline I ignored).

So, this current Scarecrow, is there any info on him/it? Is it still Ebanezor Laughton? Does he still induce mass fear in those around him? Does he still have a flock of crows following him? And if so, how the **** did he come back to life?

Or is this just one of Marvel's infamous continuity burps?

Any help would be appreciated.

Last I saw was on Geoff Johns' Avengers....there was a one shot book that prety much only had Falcon and Gyrich in it.....Scarecrow was Laughton and he kidnapped a couple little girls then got his ass handed to him by Falcon and a lot of birds.


That was the last I saw of him.

It would have been 4 or 5 years ago...maybe less.......Shortly before the Red Zone Arc.

I wouldn't know what the Red Zone arc is.

Strange to have no real explanation as to how he was revived (Marvel.com's description of the character evens says he unknowingly returned) after his "death" in... either 1996 or 1997.

How does a character who used to go toe to toe with Ghost Rider get taken down by Falcon and some pigeons (taking nothing away from Falcon)? And you say this was 4 or 5 years ago?
