These brats and their games today, I tell ya. Back then we only needed two or three buttons, tops... another to scratch your ass, etc.

That button alone is what sells the new consoles.

These brats and their games today, I tell ya. Back then we only needed two or three buttons, tops. Now it's one button to jump, one to shoot, one to shoot the secondary weapon, another to crouch, another to scratch your ass, etc.

I agree. That, and maaaan games used to actually be TOUGH! None of that save crap where you could take your time on a game. You wanna get to the last leve? You gotta do it all in one sitting.

Remember when you used to have limited LIVES? You'd get to the last boss, die, and have to start alllllll over. No pansy respawning at the last save point as many times as you want.

I've gone back and played some of the games that I used to love and realized that today's games have wussified me. There are some games, that I go back to now and wonder how did I ever used to be any good at it...let alone that I was only 9 yrs old at the time! Streets of Rage?? That game is HARD!
