Which out of the two of these directors cuts is the better movie? I figure this would be an interesting point of discussion. Both directors cuts for these movies are considered major improvements over the original theatrical versions and they both happen to star Ben Affleck as a broody loner superhero. Curious to see the consensus on what’s the better movie here.

The Snyder Cut. Haven’t seen the director’s cut for Daredevil in years, but I’m guessing it wouldn’t age well with the music, wirefu, CGI and other stuff.

At least the playground fight was nowhere to be found, :barf:

Had my fair share of issues with Snyder cut, though!

Snyder's Justice League is -for better or worse- the better made movie, but Daredevil is the fun one.

ooooh hello, what a discussion.

Will say this from the outset, the Daredevil Directors Cut is the greatest 'shift' in change from cinema release to the actual vision of the director that's ever taken place, COMPLETELY different film and SO much better for the D/C version. Absolutely adore the Director's Cut, for me, it's one of the best in the genre.

However, for me, the story, emotion and 'justice' of getting Snyder's completed film to the screen wins this discussion.

I love Snyder's films contribution to the DCEU and his trilogy for me (Superman 1978 aside) are the definitive of the genre for me.

I'm not wasting my time watching the Snyder Cut, but I will say that I actually really like the Daredevil DC and it is one of my favorite superhero movies of the pre-MCU era. Tremendously underrated film. I would be absolutely shocked if I like the Snyder Cut better if someone managed to strap me down to a chair and forced me to watch it.

I’m going to have to rewatch the Director’s Cut for Daredevil, as I haven’t done so in a decade, but I really dug it!

I honestly don’t know how I made it all the way to the end of the Snyder Cut. I guess it helped that a friend of mine was also watching it at his place and we were MST3K-ing it over text.

Daredevil.

I’m glad that there are people out there like you, @Mandon Knight, who find Snyder’s work appealing. However I’m definitely not one of them and I really don’t like the versions of the characters we got in his films. But different strokes for different folks. For people who enjoyed his vision, I’m glad you got his completed JL film.

One is a significantly longer and worse version of an already bad movie, and the other is slightly longer and better version of a bad movie.

I gotta go Daredevil here and it's not even close, but both these movies are bad. I can at least laugh at one. Snyder Cut is just boring.

Daredevil by a long shot, park fight be damned. I liked Affleck in it, liked his chemistry with Garner, loved Farrell chewing scenery and I loved MCD as Kingpin. I always have a blast watching it.

For me, it's the Snyder Cut and it's not even close. I finally watched the Daredevil Directors Cut and I have to say that while it is an improvement over the theatrical cut, it still isn't good. Jennifer Garner ruins the whole thing by being horribly miscast and no amount of editing can change that.
