Batman '89 The Official Batman (1989) Thread - Part 6

Yeah, there’s no way in hell that ‘89 is the worst of the four.

There can be debates about '89 vs. Returns and even Forever but in no universe is it worse than Batman and Robin. Joel Schumacher literally apologized for it and Clooney said he killed the franchise.

Small detail, but I love that the old DC Comics logo is back. Please, never ever change it again.

This is really cool, and unlike many people, I don't mind that there are only five points of articulation (as I grew up with Kenner action figures)... But these Mezco figures are just so, so tiny!
I'm not particularly fond of big action figures, but these ones look almost like ones you'd find in Happy Meals back in the day... but for a way bigger price.

I bought the BTAS ones, and while they're very nice (Catwoman definitely has a better head sculpt than the DC Direct figure), I'm not sure I'll continue the collection yet... which is crazy, considering how much I love this series.

I'm cackling at Bob the Goon looking like He-Man.

Yeah, it does seem like they were very careful not to give any of the figures a particularly strong likeness. Which isn’t all that crazy for a 4 inch figure, but when you blow up the image and put it right up front on the packaging…

Ehh. If they’re the same price as the Superman: The Movie line-up, I’ll definitely pick up a Batman and Joker.

It's interesting because Mezco seemed to have no problem securing likeness rights for their line.

Yet if I'm not mistaken, this is the first ever Vicki Vale figure not counting Lego or Funko Pops.

Wonderful at his job... He should have had many more collaboration with Burton. R.I.P. Peter Young.
