The Suit of Tomorrow

Mayyybeeee have the S emblem in the middle of the belt? just a maybe
Not a fan of stamping the S logo everywhere, I think that it shouldn't even be on the cape. The Brandon Rooth suit had it not only on the belt but even on the soles of his freaking boots.

I agree, thats why I went with a maybe. It can be a bit much. It just looks a little weird (by little....very tiny bit) just being an empty square

- Bigger S shields on the chest and cape.
- Shorter cape

That's really all I got. Went from being really cold on the suit to absolutely loving it.

Literally my first post when the suit was revealed "Wow, that's a horrendous suit". Cut to now and here I am with "Don't you dare change it too much". :tearsofjoy:

I second shortening the cape. It gives him a better silhouette and further distinguishes him the previous iteration.

Some slight tweaks here or there. I’m fine with the material. Maybe tone down the lines a bit, but don’t get rid of them. They give the suit the illusion of muscle definition and without them the suit just looks flat and weird. Also disagree on making it more skin tight. The slight bagginess and looseness feels more utilitarian and makes him look more approachable. Same with the collar. Without it, this version of the suit just looks wrong. I have yet to see an argument against it other than “I don’t like it.”

Other than that, I wouldn’t change anything else. I trust James Gunn with whatever he decides to do with it on the next film.

The suit needs to be less bulky, esp keeping the red shorts. The material it's made from needs to be thinner and look less like it's artificial bulking of muscles.
Change the black for yellow in the shield and this is (almost) the perfect suit.

The best looking Superman suit to this day, baffling it came from the CW.

1. CW Kingdom Come
2. Superman '78
3. BvS

I'd like the MoT costume to look like this:

When we were first shown the Superman costume, while enjoying the trunks return very much, I had some mixed feelings.
Unlike many people, I had no problem with the slightly baggy look; on the contrary, I'm not a fan of superheroes in armor or who look like bodypainters. What bothered me were the MCU-style lines... but at the same time, with the rest of the suit, its form and materials, the whole thing reminded me a bit of old-school sci-fi uniforms, and that's something I quite like.
After watching the movie, I have to admit that the lines are fairly easy to forget. And what's left is a very sleek costume that, in action, is frankly almost identical to the iconic look of the comic book.

So I don't really have any wishes for changes to the costume.

But out of curiosity (as usual), I tried a little experiment that incorporates some of the most frequently requested modifications :

Here we have :
- A removal of the collar to open up the neckline.
- A removal of certain lines on the suit. I didn't remove everything because I think some of them help to dynamize the silhouette.
- A shortening of the cape.
- An enlarged chest logo (I admit that I naturally tend to imagine it bigger than it was in the movie).
- A switch to a round belt buckle (just because it looks even more retro and I like it)

If they keep it the same, I’m fine with it. I’ve grown to love the suit as-is. If they change anything, I would make the neck wider like the traditional version and remove the collar. That’s about it.

I honestly don't know but does Gunn have a history of modifying the suits in his sequel films? If so, then Superman's will most likely be modified as well.

Kind of? The Guardians had updated suits in the third movie but not really the second one. I think Quill wore a different shirt in part 2 though.

Anyway, I think he said something about Superman’s suit evolving in future movies.

It's not unusual for costumes to get tweaked (at the very least) between films.

I'd like them to change the material/s they used; and make it more form fitting.

I definitely don’t think they should shorten the cape. I think the current length is pretty much perfect.

I all round liked the Superman suit and it brought back everything I ever wanted in a suit. Tweaks I'd personally make is in this manip

- bigger muscle build
- no wrinkles
- no lines
- thinner belt
- shorter trunks

Everything else stays. Keep trunks, keep S on Cape, keep collar and keep gauntlets on forearms. Just make them more embedded into the material instead.
