The Superhero Cinematic Civil War of Tomorrow Thread - Part 62

I'll put it to you like this: Gunn has a plethora of interesting characters and a wealth of things to work with, however, it would be much better if he had more of a writer's room for DC Studios. There is no reason for him to have written all of Peacemaker and all of Creature Commandos by himself. Then from what I've seen so far with S2 of Peacemaker, it's like he's using it as a way to treat himself and get his jollies out for reining himself in for Superman.

But yeah, he needs more creatives at his side.
I kind of see it as DC Studios just kind of starting out and not having the means for the money to get and hire whomever they want for these projects, so James Gunn is trying to lay a solid foundation and set a baseline for when more and more talent is brought on to work on these films and they have a sense of the feel of the world and where to start creatively. If Clayface and Lanterns is any indication, we could be getting even more truly great talent some ways down the line should this keep doing well.

I mean, if I was running a newly established film studio, creating a new cinematic universe and wanted it to do well and succeed and build it up and out, that’s how I would do it.

Hype used to be wild.

The characters only being limited to the ones from the chair reveal (plus Franklin) is hilarious because we all know there'll be more than just them in Doomsday.

Right.

The other day I saw the stunt doubles taking pics with each other BTS and clearly Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau are going to be in it too.
