You know, I've really disliked the multiverse boom. It's such a boring gimmick, and it hasn't felt like anyone has done anything interesting with it in a long time... until Peacemaker season 2. Multiverse can be poignant, funny, horrifying, and timely in the right hands.

You did it to yourself by listing the top 25. :funny:

Also, you can tell that Doomsday hype is pretty low around these parts when the Russos posted a tease yesterday and no one brought it up. :o

I can't wait for that period of time where people get sick of having their childhood nachos reheated a million times. Whatever happened to being inspired by those things to make something new. Not just wholesale remaking it with like 5 changes.
I think there is already a shift happening and its been gradually happening since covid. Like, notice how the buzziest movies this year are things like Sinners and Weapons and The Long Walk, F1 and of course….

It's so crazy seeing the productions of this and Brand New Day side by side. People getting crazy excited because they're seeing set photos and practical action scenes with Spider-Man out and about. Then Doomsday is just boring blue screen world and no one cares.

Yeah, I saw that photo on Bluesky and everyone was roasting it.

The BND team is also not being precious about it either. The Russos like to post these "artsy" set photos of literally nothing.

Part of me also kinda wonders if thats more due to Sony. The way they have been marketing the movie so far is different than than what Marvel usually does.

Maybe. But I think it's more to do with the natural goodwill Spidey has (that they are farming) mixed with the Russos being completely embarrassing.

Staff members can check my IP and tell you where I'm from in your DMs, I give my full permission.

I respect official titles, whether I agree or not with the politics.
We didn't go to school together for me to call him by his name.
It's really fun when someone declares "mods check my IP!" And then they have IP addresses in four different countries and flipping between two in the same country over 300 km apart regularly. Anyway that's how the PBU got banned.

As any DC comics fan would tell you, the explanation for this is simple.

He has a boom tube.

Wow, so his conversation with me indirectly led to him being banned?

James Gunn even said recently about the Clayface set photos that someone on the team suggested not putting any makeup on the actor and just CGI'ing it in post so that the set photos wouldn't spoil it, and he was like "Are you crazy? We aren't going to do that ****".

Like, I don't really understand why Marvel treats their movies like national security when they are just movies at the end of the day.

Come to think of it, a PBU naming themselves after an undead Punisher was a little too on the nose. :o

Sometimes they're still stuck in their ways when it comes to secrecy, even though nobody really cares anymore. Like, obviously they should keep SOME things a surprise but they really don't need to keep things that under wraps. Especially since they announced the OG X-Men cast returning more than a year in advance, and that same announcement inadvertently ended up spoiling Thunderbolts since it gave away that they all survived except one.

Ohhh a previously banned user. That's not a huge surprise tbh.

I thought he'd eventually crash out and get banned for it :peek:
