Thank you for reminding me of that time my brother decided to try and get into comics, walked into his local comic book store and asked the guy at the counter what he recommended for newbies and the guy came up with Avengers vs. X-Men, so he bought it. They know what they are. They also know what it says about them. I just never understand how these people engage in superheroes, fantasy, and sci-fi. Where so much of the best stuff is humanist as hell. i guess the issue is they don't actually engage.
