The Superhero Cinematic Civil War of Tomorrow Thread - Part 62

Hit the Road and Bones and All are probably my favorites here. Seen about half. Those two are incredible though. Especially Panahi with his debut.

My list of 9/10s in the 2020s tops out at 43 though.

Oh sh** I need to bump up my rating for Red Rooms. What an insane film.

Whether it’s Dunst or Keanu, it’s a sad commentary on the genre. The present or future shouldn’t be the olds. No wonder youths want their own culture even if it’s Minecraft, Demon Slayer, and Kpop.

I'm curious to see how he is in The Smashing Machine but I'm not paying to watch that. Especially after seeing Benny Safdie cozying up to Logan Paul promoting it.

The Smashing Machine is an interesting case, in that it is the last chance to see The Rock on the roids. I've seen the pics of him doing promotion for the movie. Sort of looks like pre transformation CG Black Adam now...

They are going to need so much CGI for live action Moana.

I used to like The Rock a lot but everything around Black Adam made me tired of him. Ryan Reynolds has since usurped that "overexposed guy I'm sick of seeing" stigma but right now I'd prefer Dwayne Johnson in small doses.
I like Reynolds and I like him ironically even more after the rumors that he stood up to the Rock after some of the poop that he pulled while making Red Notice.

WWE's starting to suck again. But at least AEW isn't solely about making money.
I am an old school territory wrestling fan and haven’t watched with regularity since a little before WCW folded. But I do find myself intrigued by AEW. My biggest complaint about that product is the lack of selling by the wrestlers. Will Osprey is an amazing flyer, but it’s like watching Michael Myers wrestling because no matter how hard he gets hit, he never stays down.

The Rock trying to take over DC with Black Adam is one of the funniest things anyone has done ever. Black Adam was awful, everything that came of it would have been awful but it would have been such a great trainwreck that I desperately wish he'd succeeded. What a ****ing lunatic.

The funniest thing Rock did this year is come back to WWE to give it its biggest heel turn ever, with Cena going heel, the biggest thing since Hogan formed the NWO, and then completely dipped, leaving everyone hanging and killing the whole thing dead.

Sorry y'all but those trailers for Smashing Machine did nothing for me. The Rock looks...fine in the movie but i'm not seeing oscar material by any stretch for this.
