Made them have to get a little convoluted to bring the character back. At that point, why kill him in the first place if you're going to keep using him? Why?

Whaaaaat??? I haven’t been keeping up with this movie at all so forgive me if this rumor is old news, but yikes, that sounds horrible.![]()
Sounds very Sony-ish.
Didn’t say I loved it. At the very least, I’m somewhat intrigued. I’m just taking all the information I got from reading stuff online, trying to piece it together and trying to make logical sense of it. Like I said, it’s just a rumor. They can bring up Peter's parents as much as they want as long as they stay dead. I've always found it weird that they (and Uncle Ben) have never really been talked about in the MCU. That said, I'm not really about them getting accidentally killed by Hulk during the Battle of NY. That's something that's silly to retcon because I feel like Peter definitely would have felt a certain way about that having worked so closely with the Avengers.
Would still like to get around to Arkham Origins some day though. I’ve heard that one’s a bit more interesting.
I'm use to your edge lord tendencies.I love Arkham Knight and it's a better use of the Joker than Origins.

The Deathstroke tank battle did suck tho, I'll give you that.

Asylum has some gameplay issues, but overall it's a good game.We don't talk enough about the Patient Interview tapes in Arkham Asylum.
I loved those bits.

If that rumor is even remotely close to true, that's ****ing stupid. Also, doesn't make a lick of damn sense considering what we know about this version of Spider-Man.
Not to mention, Peter would've been like, what? 11yrs old when the Battle of NY happened? You're telling me that an 11yr old kid wouldn't know that he has a SISTER?
I mean I wouldn't put any of it past Marvel and Sony. Stupid Hulk stuff in an unrelated film and Peter's parents? That's the perfect deformed baby of their favorite bad ideas![]()
Yeah, the “Hulk inadvertently killing his parents in the Battle of New York” angle I’m still not quite sure about, though it does have its origin in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics. If handled improperly, that could easily go very sideways. Maybe if they took inspiration from comics’ history and made Peter’s parents secret low-level S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who were somehow at the Battle of New York trying to save civilians and got caught in the wake of one of Hulk’s attacks. I don’t know, I’m just throwing things out there. If that rumor is even remotely close to true, that's ****ing stupid. There is so much silly season speculation and nonsense surrounding what BND is and isn't, so these Hulk rumors about how he is worked into the plot don't have me worked up at all at this point. Cause scoopers have been feeding me BS for so long I just don't believe any of it at this point. I will find out what's real or not when the movie comes out at this point. We don't even know who the frigging main villain isI kind of feel that way about a lot of opinions on various pieces of media on this message board, but I try not to think too much of it and not let it get to me. There are various TV shows and movies where I’ve experienced and have felt and been affected a certain way during the watching of them that I know was real and true and nobody’s different takes can ever take that away from me.
Of course, there are certain occasions where I might take something a little bit too personally, but it’s just because it’s most likely something that truly resonated with me and I really took to heart. When it’s a thing that spoke to me that’s being criticized, it feels personal, even though I know they aren’t personally attacking me, ya know?
I’m getting better, though.
Someone on Reddit says that from the tiny glimpse of military boots and camo pants along with her upper half being very conspicuously covered up, they think she’s playing a character named Rachel Cole, who in the comics is a protege of Frank Castle. Though, taking into account that “Most Wanted” comic that Destin Daniel Cretton mentioned in one interview was hinted at being a big inspiration for the story, and Peter Parker’s sister Teresa Parker heavily featuring in that, I wonder if she’s going to be another composite character where they give her some of Rachel Cole’s characteristics but a lot of Teresa Parker‘s backstory. If you read the plot synopsis of “Most Wanted”, some of the elements in that story do line up with some of what’s been rumored.
And, with that one supposed rumor of Hulk being indirectly responsible for the death of Peter’s parents in the Battle of New York from all of his rampaging, I wonder if her character is on some sort of revenge quest and hunting the Hulk is very personal for her. It was rumored that her character was supposed to play a very large role in this film and that this would take on darker tone than the previous three films, and delving into some darker elements by giving her a really personal stake in trying to take down the Hulk for the death of her parents/loved ones would fit with that.
Oh, I'm fully aware of the original material, I own the book because the art is fantastic. It was incredibly ridiculous in it too, and it's not a coincidence it's one of those things that has been quietly swept under the rug to be ignoredYeah, the “Hulk inadvertently killing his parents in the Battle of New York” angle I’m still not quite sure about, though it does have its origin in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics. But the whole “Peter Parker has a long lost sister he never knew about” idea does have precedent in the comics, and it was handled pretty well there from what I’ve read.
Again, at this point, they’re just rumors, so they might not even pan out. But, if they do, there is a chance that they could work better on screen than on paper. It’s all about how they approach them.
