The Superhero Cinematic Civil War of Tomorrow Thread - Part 62

Unicron not being used at all is the most surprising thing about this franchise.

I stopped watching the Transformers movies 2 and a half films in.

Did Megatron ever get to turn into a gun?

The fact that they're bringing back Bay thinking oh it's his style audiences loved and not oh he made terrible films that were mostly spectacle and led to diminishing returns on the franchise.
In a perfect world, they'd give Josh Cooley the keys to the live-action franchise and do a clean reboot. Transformers needs its own Batman Begins.

No, I think the closest was when he clapped his hands together in the first movie to transform his arms into a cannon.

I always thought the idea of Megatron turning into a gun only worked for the toy. It was so sloppy in the original cartoon because he would need Starscream or whoever to hold him in his gun form.

You beat me by a whole movie
Don't think I ever finished the second... that was the one with the Robot Balls, right??
The very same.

Why couldn't Megatron just turn his arms into guns? Why does he need to transform his entire body into a gun?

My mistake he's actually used in Rise of the Beasts... What?
Unicron was teased in The Last Knight but from what I remember it was kind of along the same lines as cloud Galactus from Rise of the Silver Surfer.

I mean he's literally Galactus but Transformer, so the precedent was there. :o

Why is that? The Energon Universe comics have been pretty great for the most part. I feel Kirkman's writing on Void Rivals has been pretty restrained (in a good way) in comparison to his creator owned stuff.

In general, I don't think a lot of Transformers comics, at least the ones fans really like, translates well to other mediums.

We don't talk about those Webtoon ones. :o

Watching Werewolf By Night, and it's so sad how if you liked something from the post-Endgame MCU, you have had nothing to look forward to.

Feige went from making moves to get his bosses chair, to fighting for his job.

:highfive:

I watched the color version for the first time. Still prefer the B&W, but not bad. Certainly not the disaster I expected.
I looked at the color version and considered it for a second just because I thought that it might maximize Laura Donnelly’s beauty. But I decided that I should watch it as it was intended.
