The Naked Fun in The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 61

Christmas Vacation is hysterical and Muppet Christmas Carol is the best version of the story ever put to film. Michael Caine is legitimately brilliant in it. He played the whole thing super serious as if he was acting with people and not Muppets.
Going to be the worst person in the world right now. I love the Muppets. I watch every little thing they put out, watch a bunch of their flicks every year, and I'm even one who really dug their ABC Office show.

I don't like their Christmas Carol. I find it weirdly boring for them. Much prefer their Treasure Island, when it comes to adaptations.
Good. I think The Santa Clause is fine but it's a notable movie for me because it made me realize from a young age that Tim Allen isn't funny. :o
Elf is the kind of movie The Santa Clause wishes it was.

I'm going to tell you a secret and don't tell nobody.

I don't think I've ever seen the Muppet Christmas Carol and I've only seen bits of Christmas Vacation, never the whole thing in its entirety. I need to rectify that.

And has the best looking cheese pizza ever seen on celluloid.

Right up there with TMNT 2 Secret of the Ooze's intro.
Kevin is a monster for not liking Pepperoni!

The only animated Christmas movies that I try and really watch if I can catch it are Peanuts, Rudolph, Year without a Santa Clause & Nightmare Before Christmas.

You just reminded me of a great error. I left off Arthur Christmas. Watched it for the first time a couple years back. It is the kind of seasonal perfection you can only dream of.

I forgot my newest Christmas addition. I try and find Krampus as well. LOL.

Though I do also love Muppet Treasure Island, mainly because of Curry. I will say one big strike against both of those movies is that my boy Animal is hardly in them.

Cheese Pizza is beautiful the way it is. It doesn't have to change for anyone. :o

Michael Caine playing it straight and not over the top? I like the social media question on which adaptation would be best where you keep 1 human actor and the rest are muppets.

The team doing the Street Fighter movie need to cast him as Zangief. :o

You just reminded me about the film, it’s supposed to come out in 15 months with no director, writer or cast!

Definitely getting delayed! They should not have set that release date before the creative team was found!

The two that have already have trailers out being at the top is hardly surprising. This poll is always an awareness thing.

A Christmas Story
Die Hard
Jingle All the Way
Home Alone
The Nightmare Before Christmas

These are the Christmas movies I actively watch every year. My wife enjoys The Polar Express and a few others. I will also watch the Charlie Brown special every year

May i ask a blasphemous question? I watched National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation a couple years ago for the first time and I found it painfully unfunny. It felt like a series of skits that barely had any narrative tie to them and i struggled to finish it. Am i alone?

It's never been my favorite Christmas movie. But there is some very funny stuff in it. There is a point in the movie where I start to get bored though
