well whos to say that end credits song would have been the main thing louis create for the finale. i am sure it would have been something new and exciting.
Do you think we'll ever hear the Superman theme in Smallville? There's a fixation on all things visual - the suit, the cape, the 'S', etc - but let's not forget that the John Williams score for the 1978 movie (which was subsequently used in all sequels, and also reworked for the 2006 Superman Returns) is a hugely recognisable piece of music which is as symbolic to Superman as his suit is.
I'm not sure of the legalities of it all, but I for one would have hairs standing on my neck if the Smallville series finale even had the first 20-30 secs of the theme, perhaps as Welling is ripping the shirt open.
We live in hope................
Personally I agree its a great song. But we don't need it to be the only music for superman for the future.

I get its classic. But come on future directors/music composers shouldn't be forced to use things when tone/feel may be totally different. Plus there is plently of great composers out there today. Given the time could make something just as unique and special.
