Trust me. It is that bad. Just think of someone who auditioned for the part of Augustus Gloop in the Willy Wonka movie and wasn't cast because she was too fat.

LOL. That was hilarious Red.

... and I'm sorta wishing I never requested to see the pic. Wow. I'm thinkin' she'll likely not eat up a lot of screen time. 'eat up'. LOL.

U guys are just MEAN!!!! as a matter of fact, if I recall correctly, she was there at Lt Lonsdale when I saw Nic and Eva. She was ushered by this guy who carries an umbrella wherever he goes. He is like the person who guides the actors to their vehicles. What a job man. Apparently he carries the umbrella to shade the actors just in case it's sunny or it rains. But each time we see him, we get kinda excited cos he is like a sign telling us that the actors are coming. :P

I wanna be an Umbrella guy!

You're right, we are being mean. Who are we to judge the goth chick girl. I mean, I envy the pants off her right now.

I wonder if she will continue to nag JB and not leave him alone. I can just imagine her trying to get on JB's motorcycle.(Not much room for JB) Just don't let JB do any tricks with her on it (wheelies, power slides, etc.) she would probably fall off.

HOLLYWOOD star Susan Sarandon felt quite at home in Williamstown last week, grabbing a bite to eat in Nelson Place and shopping in the nearby stores while on a break from filming her latest movie, Irresistible.

Sarandon and Sam Neill were shooting scenes for the drama on Gem Pier, in the Commonwealth Reserve opposite Nelson Place, and at the Williamstown Cemetery.

Sarandon is not the only visiting Hollywood star who will get to experience the delights of Melbourne's West, with the big budget US feature Charlotte's Web taking over part of Nelson Place early next month.

Child star Dakota Fanning headlines the Charlotte's Web shoot, which will have part of Nelson Place's historic streetscape transformed into a New England town.

The majority of the filming has been done on location at the tiny town of Greendale, about 15 minutes out of Bacchus Marsh.

However, the production will role into Williamstown for filming on April 6 and 7.

According to traders in the area, Paramount Pictures has negotiated compensation for business owners affected by the closure of part of the busy tourist and restaurant strip.

Meanwhile, Melburnians hoping to get a blink-and-you-miss-it moment of fame in Ghost Rider are out of luck.

The production has scrapped a plan to film an enormous crowd scene at Telstra Dome. Scenes will still be shot there, although computer-generated figures will now be used in place of a live crowd.

That's odd...
If the camera doesn't have to zoom on the crowd the cg option is probably the best: with the actual tecnology you can make it move as you wish, decide the % and composition of people. And by blurring it a little(because it would be in background in the scenes) it should be perfect.
Probably MSJ opted for CG because of the mess, time, organization of people ecc...

NICOLE MAYNE

MOVIE star Nicolas Cage is headed our way to film part of his latest Hollywood project.

Cage will be in town in June to shoot scenes for the $100 million film Ghost Rider near Anakie.

The film is based on a Marvel Comics character who avenges injustice on a motorcycle engulfed in flames.

Co-starring Eva Mendes and Wes Bentley, it will be the major summer release for Columbia Pictures in 2006.

A film crew was on location in Geelong this week to film an actor-free scene for Ghost Rider.

The 80-strong team last night spent 10 hours shooting on the Bacchus Marsh Road, in a stretch of paddocks resembling Texas.

An unfamiliar cactus planted by the roadside and a big sign welcoming motorists to Texas helped recreate a slice of the US state.

Location manager Russell Boyd said the 10 hours' filming of the hero's bus travelling would produce about five seconds of screen time.

``They are shooting one shot and (the bus) is travelling through the rain,'' Mr Boyd said.

``What will be seen is like a real Texas location.''

Two trucks were on the set yesterday afternoon to provide the rain, with stadium lights being set up to create artificial moonlight.

Dozens of people in bright orange safety jackets rushed around in preparation for rolling the cameras.

Mr Boyd said Cage would come to Geelong later in the 18-week shooting schedule to film scenes at nearby grain silos.

He will bring with him the main filming unit, which has about 250 crew.

Scouting for Ghost Rider started in September, with the director and producer visiting locations in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales.

It will be shot at sites across the state and at film studios in Melbourne.

``These shows aren't new to Australia but they are to Victoria,'' Mr Boyd said. ``This is certainly the highest budget production Victoria has had by a mile.''

Mr Boyd said Geelong was a stand-out location because of its variety.

``Certainly the proximity of Geelong to Melbourne and what Geelong offers film location wise is quite exceptional,'' he said. ``It is the same comparison of what the Gold Coast is to Brisbane or Newcastle to Sydney.''

He also credited the City of Greater Geelong's film unit, Film Geelong, with helping attract such big projects to the region.

Geelong has also secured locations in an Australian adaptation of Macbeth due to start production later this year.

artifucal stadium light moonlight? sounds kinda cheap but atleast we got some news its 4:20 johhny blazin i wonder what shots johhny blaze will shoot

i remember the spotlights used on the lt lonsdale street set at night. even at the barricades we were blinded by them!
it could work well, if done correctly (which i believe they will be).
on another note, a friend of mine walked past Donal Logue on Collins Street yesterday!

very cool find RedIsNotBlue..pretty interesting stuff...
sounds like there will be at least a scene involving rain...would be cool to see GR in the middle of a rain storm w/ lightning striking overhead.
also the scene w/ the moonlight sounds cool...maybe it will involve a full moon in the background. full moons are a must for any good horror film

In one of the comics, GR finds that he is still got his flaming skull under water. :ghost:

wouldn't the audience think its unrealisitc that when its raining ghost riders skull is still on fire even tho it is hell fire? or do you think they will explain it

Oh, they are filming in the United states also? Cool. I was under the impression that it was all gonna be in Australia. Why did they pick Australia for those key scenes anyway?

Nope. Just in Austalia. They are putting up a Texas sign for a scene.

10 hours or shooting for 5 seconds of film. You gotta love the movies.

I don't think so. I mean, it has to be raining pretty hard to put out a real fire once it's going.

True. Usually it takes about ten gallons, two five gallons one after the other, for one in a regular grill.
