You can just walk up to the farm I guess?

theres a trail that goes along the property, its not really that big and the house is very close to the main road..the owner (I guess it was the owner) was puttering around in the yard at the time...people even stopped to watch us geek out, lol, they were very amused.

Of course we stayed a respectable distance away, the sign is actually pretty far from the house and barn

WOW, that's cool! Did you meet anyone from the cast?

No, I have in the past, but the only filming they were doing on location during our visit was at UBC, and I think Allison M. was there filming the day we left.

thought I'd share this, an audio rip from one of my favourite scenes (+ the following opening credits) in the premiere. I absolutely love this:

That's awesome! It's so much easier to appreciate the music when you listen to it separate from the visual. I love how it goes right into the shows theme song too.

Very true. And not only the music, but the sound effects....and, mostly importantly IMO, Terence Stamps' delivery of the Jor-El dialogue. The very sound of his voice here seems to work with the music, and the music with his voice, as if his delivery has a subtle lyrical quality. The music at the climax of the scene is not so much heroic as it is...relieving and triumphant? Jor-El's been pretty much a villain in the show until now, but to hear him say "Welcome home, my son," is so terribly wonderful. And he says it rightly a powerful but un-abrasive, allowing the music to bring the scene to an awesome close.

Maybe we should start a thread called "Kristin Kreuk's Upcoming Films."

Kreuk May Get Smart
Smallville starlet may star with Steve Carell.
by IGN FilmForce

October 10, 2005 - Rumor has it that funnyman Steve Carell (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, NBC's The Office) is eyeing Smallville actress Kristin Kreuk to star alongside him in the forthcoming movie version of Get Smart. According to a report on the Dark Horizons website, Carell dropped this nugget while being interviewed on the Western Australian radio station MIX FM.

Carell is set to star as bumbling secret agent Maxwell Smart in the film which is based on the late '60s show about a goofball agent fighting the forces of KAOS, an evil organization bent on taking over the world. Smart was typically accompanied by his female partner, Agent 99, and that's who Kreuk is supposedly being courted to play.

In the radio interview, Carell reportedly stated that the new Agent 99 is written younger than the character in the series. He also mentioned that he has already met with Kreuk about the role.

The Get Smart script is being written by Steve Koren (Bruce Almighty, Click).

Kreuk can currently be see on The WB's Smallville, airing on Thursdays at 8/7c. She's currently shooting a period romantic drama Partition, alongside Jimi Mistry and Neve Campbell.

Apparently, the folks at DVD like Millar and Gough so much, they invited them as "talking heads" on the upcoming Batman Anthology DVD Collection.
There're some sample clips from the DVDs here:

and G&M are some of the interviewees.

I think someone (was it Pat) thought that Tom would be stellar in an adaptation of Edgar Rice Borrough's John Carter books, and here AICN has a great interview with the latest director of the John Carter project (currently in development), John Favreau.

I loved those books when I was younger and would love to see Tom do something like that, but take a look at the article here:

Yup. Me too.

Did you read the interview with Favreau?

He sounds like he has an awesome take on the franchise in particular and in doing adaptations in general...

Great interview. Very informative.... He seems like a very smart guy.

Bye guys I'm off to Orlando. I'll have little contact with the Disney free world so I'll be catching up with you guys when I get back. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for opening weekend of The Fog. I doubt I'll even see a review. Bad vacation planning huh.

I;ve never heard of them..what are they about? and would Tom have to wear that rather strange outfit?

John Carter was this Civil War era soldier and he gets transported to Mars where he wears loin cloths and fights weird Martian monsters with swords... It's sorta vague with me since it's been like 25 years since I read them (I'm dating myself big time) but the interview with Favreau brought back some memories...

I was thinking about going out and getting the first one the next time I'm at the bookstore see if they're as good as I remember.

But it's major drool worthy type stuff so I'm with Pat....

Follow up on that:

JoBlo posted more detailed information about the rumours of Kristin Kreuk playing 'Agent 99' in the upcoming movie "Get Smart".

Carell also mentioned interest in Kreuk on some radio show in Australia, which officially makes him one of the coolest people in Hollywood. "Kristin Kreuk? She's perfect. For anything. And if you don't think so, you're wrong. And ugly. With weird teeth. Sorry, I get petty and immature when I'm talking about scaringly perfect women." :D
To read more go here.http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=8909 Jennifer Love Hewitt might be in the running for this too

Special thanks to Karla for the tip.
