Don't think...just buy one, and then we can have a fun Smallville fan tourney.

*Also a SF fanboy* :p

I've been putting it off since I don't have an HDTV or a job at the moment. heh.

I'm pretty psyched for SFIV, though. You can be rest assured I will find some way to obtain it.

A job....like that is important or something? :p

Let me know when you get it, it would be fun to whoop up on you with Ken. ;)

I actually don't watch Heroes anymore, if someone else has it on, I'll watch, but it's really jumped the shark for me.

I'm sorry Jeph got the boot...

:(

Oh, and the boomster Wow, how long has it been since we chatted?

A long time since you got a new job and a brand new baby! So, I guess it's been at leaast 9 months...

;) :D

too long!

I added you to my friend list on the 360.

Are you planning on getting SF4?

I think you added the wrong Conner Kent.. My name has a zero, in it, instead of an O..sorry for the mix up.

C0NNER KENT. But I'll find you for sure.

I'm hoping to get it, I just finally got my hands on Spidey:WOS, and now I'm focusing on DC vs MK..just to play as our favorite man in tights.:woot:

anyone see that our old buddy Jeph Loeb was canned from Heroes?

http://www.superherohype.com/news/topnews.php?id=7778

Boy is that show going to hell in a hand basket fast....
I don't watch Heroes anymore, so I have no idea what has happened with the show to warrant such action, but I'm still speechless. It's unfortunate, but such is the risk one takes with a larger network - one that DeKnight also took and lost.

Would LOVE to have him back to write an episode or two. Maybe add a little Superman For All Seasons flair to the last few eps this season
I'm not sure Loeb would come back to SV; the circumstances surrounding his resignation seem a bit sketchy to me. He noted the death of his son in his farewell letter, but he was on the Heroes' payroll within weeks of his departure. Perhaps it was just a coincidence, but I tend to think he, like DeKnight, got tired of the lack of creative freedom they were granted on SV. Shows like Heroes may be more attractive to writers since the stories are relatively open-ended. They can kill-off characters in their scripts, add new ones, turn them from good to evil or evil to good, with no fear of conflicting with a 70 year-old mythos or requiring at least three different sets of Big Brother approvals (Warners, DC Comics, and CW Network) before the cameras can roll.

Brian Lowry, Chief TV Critic with Variety summed it up in one sentence:

Brian Lowry said:
...this tale of the young Clark Kent has already lasted well beyond the character's teenage years, creating an awkward overlap with the feature side's hold on the Superman franchise.

But there's a flipside. Following quote from the same review:

Brian Lowry said:
..."Smallville" has stayed aloft beyond the projected flight plan largely because the CW still needs it, with even a diminished fan base still surpassing what the netlet generates with most of its lineup.

^ IMHO, this is the kind of job security Heroes can't offer their writers.

One REALLY telling thing to me about the state of Heroes is that tonight which is right in the middle of November sweeps, they arent airing a new episode. Instead they're showing a clip show of the political sketches on SNL. Now I know tomorrow is the election, but every other Net is showing new programming tonight for Sweeps. It's pretty telling when NBC thinks they can get better ratings out of 20 year old clips of Dana Carvey and Phil Hartman then what used to be one of their flagship series.

I'd imagine he's have a lot more freedom under PS3 than he did under Goughlar. I think he may have had a falling out with those two, which seems to be a theme I'm starting to see emerge. Dont get me wrong I dont think Loeb comes back fulltime on the payroll like Season 2, but I'd love to get him on for an episode or two. LOeb's SFAS is almost perfect for this time in Clark's life that we're seeing this season. Hell, bring DeKnight back for a few eps while we're at it too.

Interesting. Was the clip show scheduled, or was it a last minute programming change?

I'd love to see both come back for any amount of eps, but this season is probably already assigned. If there's any hope of one or both coming back, it wouldn't be till next season for that reason, if there is a next season. And by then, both might already be booked on other projects. That said, I bet phones have been ringing off the hook today. :D

Not sure. It's listed on my on-screen guide, so it may have been planned.

Was never a huge fan of Guile. Boomster..you have a 360, right?

What's your gamertag?

Well that's my own fault, I forgot to mention that it was a zero instead. I'm not use to having this CK name, I'm missing the BizarroAids name. Stupid Microsoft banning me from it.:cmad:

Aww man. I mean, that's a nice gesture, but it would've been cool to have you on there.

Anyway, I'm here to brag about something. I got a family member (cousin) to start watching Smallville. He was here Thursday when Bloodline was on, he watched it and enjoyed. Of course, he was lost, so he was asking me like a bajillion questions. So, I just let him barrow Season 1, and today he came back raving about the show and how much he was enjoying it. He brought back S1 and wanted to barrow S2 and S3.

He knows the basics of Supermans mythology, but that's it. He's not into comics anymore. But this show has him wanting to know more, and reading more comics. And now he's hooked. He's on vacation due to a surgery. So he's got six weeks. He said he could easily be caught up by next weekend. How? I don't know, but he really doesn't have a life. lol.

Looks like we got another person to add to the ratings. :woot: Just wanted to share that with you guys. I LOVE it when I turn people on to this show, then they see why I break all contact from the world on Thursday nights from 7 to 8.

^heh. Took me a minute to realize it was a spoof rather than Ledger & Bale goofing off on the set.
